In the wave of developing ecological,green and low carbon buildings,modern wood structure architecture is more and more favored by people,leaving a huge creative space for architectural designers.As an important part of highlighting architectural quality,joint design should be paid enough attention.This essay takes the modern wood structure building joint as the research object.First,it starts with the types and characteristics of wood structure building materials.Then,it combs and summarizes the structural system of the modern wood architecture,and analyzes the characteristics of each structural type through literature review and case analysis.Based on above research,this essay continues to summarize the types of wood structure joints,and elaborate the detailed structure and mechanical characteristics of each type of joints.Based on that,this essay puts forward the demand of building information model in the design process of wood structure building,and the applicability of building model by using Revit software of BIM Technology,and initially puts forward the planning principle of wood structure component’s family library,as well as the creation process of component’s family.On this basis,according to the location of the joint in the structure to design the joints,through creating models by Revit.It explains the construction method and characteristics of joints,and provides some reference for the joint design and selection of modern wood structure buildings.At the same time,in this process,it is found that there is no intelligent linkage between the component families of Revit model,so the dynamo for Revit visual programming tool is used to design the visual program with a certain node as an example,and the effect of component parametric driving and component intelligent linkage is achieved,which mends the short board of Revit applied to the wood structure building information model,and widens the thinking for the application of dynamo.
