As car sales have increased from a high speed to a decline for a few months,the overall profit of the automotive industry has been in a downward range,resulting in increased competition and squeezed profit margins for automobile factories.At the same time,the ecological and environmental problems have gradually attracted people’s attention,so a series of policies related to new energy vehicles have been continuously introduced,and vehicle emission regulations have become stricter.With cars entering into more and more families,consumers have more requirements for vehicle’s perfor-mance.In summary,under the environment of shrinking market and declining profits,automobile automotive main plants have more research and development tasks,which requires them to further improve R&D efficiency and reduce R&D costs.This thesis first summarized the agile development theory,particularly focusing on Scrum,a common tool for agile development,which is used to develop or maintain complex products.Taking X company as an example,we analyzed its project manage-ment,especially on the organizational structure and performance structure.Based on the current problems encountered by X company’s suspension development,we sorted out the evaluation factors of the suspension R&D process by using the causal analysis chart method,and ranked the evaluation factors by using the analytic hierarchy process,and then confirmed the focus of the development work.Next,we used Scrum to opti-mize the process of X company’s C100 powertrain mount R&D project,and elaborated the procedure of using the tools in Scrum framework such as Product Backlog,the Sprint Backlog,the Burn-out Chart,Daily Standup Meeting,etc.Finally,we used ques-tionnaire to survey the customers of suspension R&D.The questionnaire took the eval-uation factors obtained from the cause and effect diagram method as the evaluation factors,and calculated the weight coefficient from the AHP method to evaluate the suspension R&D under the agile development.With the help of Scrum,X Company’s C100 project has been improved significantly compared to previous projects.The research in this thesis has a certain reference value for how to implement agile development in automobile R&D industry and how to use Scrum to guide suspension R&D.
