| The natural geographical environment is the basis of all human construction activities and the most important factor affecting the layout of traditional settlement spaces.During the site selection and construction of the settlements, the ancients often relied on the natural geographical environment, reasonably and fully utilized the surrounding geographical advantages, avoided the interference caused by unfavorable factors, and created a suitable living and production living environment through appropriate adjustment methods..In the long-term development process,it has accumulated a lot of experience in dealing with the natural geographical environment.Among them, there are many green design strategies and ecological wisdom that are closely watched by the current architectural field. The complex geographical environment in the Yangtze River Delta region has formed various distinctive settlement patterns, especially the water network plain type settlement in the water network plain area centered on the Taihu Lake Basin and the mountainous hilly type settlement in the mountain area dominated by the ancient Huizhou area. These places have been one of China’s economically developed and culturally prosperous regions since ancient times. They have had a huge impact on the surrounding settlement layout and architectural design, and are typical representatives of traditional settlements in the Yangtze River Delta region. There are still a large number of traditional settlements with complete patterns, which provide valuable basic materials for our research. This article first sorts out the characteristics of the natural geographical environment of the Yangtze River Delta, analyzes and summarizes from the four perspectives of topography, climatic conditions, hydrological characteristics and cultivated land vegetation,so as to summarize the main geographical problems that the settlements in the Yangtze River Delta need to face when constructing. The second chapter firstly divides the traditional settlements into two typical types based on the different characteristics of the site environment of the settlement, and then analyzes the characteristics of the micro-geographic environment of these two settlements.Chapter three conducts research from three aspects: the overall spatial pattern of the settlement, the layout of the architectural groups within the settlement, and the spatial form of the streets and settlements of the settlement, and summarizes the spatial morphological characteristics of the traditional settlement under the influence of the natural geographical environment. In the last two chapters, the green design wisdom of the water network plain settlement and the mountain and hilly settlement to deal with the natural geographical environment is deeply excavated, and the scientific recognition of the green design strategy is formed through the analysis of specific cases and the quantitative calculation of simulation software. |
