| In the context of the new normal of the economy and the "new infrastructure",the competition for talents occupies a vital position in the competition among enterprises.With the emergence of technological changes in the construction industry such as BIM technology,CIM technology,building industrialization,and prefabricated construction,the EPC general contracting model will become an important implementation mode of project contracting,prompting profound changes in the production mode and organizational structure of my country’s construction enterprises.In order to cope with the ever-changing environmental requirements and increasingly fierce market competition,more and more construction companies have put forward higher requirements for talents in the construction industry.The project manager is a crucial management position in the project management system,and the performance of the EPC general contracting project is determined by the project manager’s competence level.Therefore,exploring the current competency level of EPC general contracting project managers is conducive to the selection of qualified EPC project managers for construction companies and the improvement of the ability of EPC general contracting project managers.This thesis analyzes the definitions of EPC general contracting project managers in various standard texts,combined with the definitions to analyze the responsibilities of project managers,combined with the responsibilities of project managers,and analyzes the required capabilities of EPC general contracting project managers through literature research,expert interviews and questionnaires.Through the competency system required for EPC general contracting project managers,prepare the EPC general contracting project manager competency measurement questionnaire,use the competency measurement questionnaire to evaluate the current EPC general contracting project manager competency level,and analyze its existing problems for follow-up competence Strengthen the strategy to lay a good foundation.On the basis of the existing problems of the project manager’s competence,build a list of influencing factors through the ability improvement theory,and put forward competencies improvement suggestions.Research conclusion: Constructed an EPC general contracting project manager’s competency list,which includes five competency indicators,including personal quality indicators,management ability indicators,cognitive ability indicators,achievement indicators,and influence indicators,and 26 competency characteristics;Analyzed the current EPC general contracting project manager’s competency,from the five indicators of influence index,personal quality index,cognitive ability index,management ability index,achievement index,etc.,to explore the current EPC general contracting project manager competency level and analyze the impact Factors of current competency improvement;proposed a competency improvement strategy for EPC general contracting project managers based on the competency model.In view of the current problems in the competence of EPC general contracting project managers,the promotion strategy of EPC general contracting project managers is proposed,and the promotion strategy of EPC general contracting project managers is proposed from the three aspects of government level,enterprise level and individual level. |
