| With the continuous expansion of urban scale, urban population keep growing, the contradiction between supply and demand of commuting travel caused by the separation of work and residence has become increasingly prominent.During the morning and evening peak hours, regional urban rail transit network is under heavy operation pressure, and it has been unable to fully play the backbone role of alleviating travel demand. To solve this problem, urban traffic managers have proposed to adjust the urban rail transit lines. After the adjustment, the regional travel network changes, which will have an impact on the travel mode choice of residents along the lines. This paper studied the travel mode choice of commuters under the adjustment of urban rail transit lines.Based on the analysis and summarize of the existing travel behavior research results and deficiencies, the influence of commuting travel habits was fully considered, and a commuting travel transfer intention model and mode choice model under the adjustment of urban rail transit lines was constructed. The main contents and results are shown as follows:(1)The decision-making mechanism of commuting travel mode under the adjustment of urban rail transit lines was explored.Based on the analysis of travel mode choice behavior under the existing travel network, the general factors affecting mode choice were summarized.Based on the analysis of mode choice change when opening new rail transit lines, the difference between the opening of new lines and the adjustment of lines was clarified. Then combining with the transtheoretical model and stages of change, the decision-making process of commuting travel mode under route adjustment was divided into three stages: generation of mode transfer intention, preparation of intention implementation and formation of mode choice.Through the analysis of questionnaire data, the existence of habit in commuting travel was demonstrated and its mechanism on commuting mode choice under the adjustment of urban rail lines was preliminarily analyzed.Furtherly the impact factors of commuting travel mode choice under the adjustment of rail transit lines were analyzed.(2)The intention model of commuting mode transfer under adjustment of rail transit lines was established.Taking the theory of planned behavior as the theoretical framework of the model, combining with the analysis of the generation process of mode transfer intention, the latent variables representing commuting habits and rail transit lines adjustment perception were added to the structural equation model.According to the existing habitual travel mode, individuals were divided into car group and public transport group. Then based on the questionnaire survey data, the influence of attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavior control, commuting habits, satisfaction of habitual travel mode and rail transit lines adjustment perception on mode transfer intention were analyzed. The results indicate that for the car group, the latent variables except subjective norms have significant impact on the transfer intention, for the public transport group, the latent variables except perceptual behavior control have significant influence on the transfer intention. The car group is more likely to be affected by commuting travel habits, and inhibits the formation of mode transfer intention, while the public transport group is more sensitive to the change of rail transit lines adjustment.(3)The model of commuting travel mode choice under the adjustment of rail transit lines was established.Considering the influence of individual’s existing commuting habits,a 0-1 variable was added to represent individual’s habit dependence.Considering that individuals cannot fully respond to the change of travel condition cased by the adjustment of rail transit lines,a feedback coefficient was added into the model, which was represented by latent variables. Then a mode decision-making SEM-Logit model was constructed.Based on the urban rail transit lines adjustment scenarios designed by the questionnaire and survey data,a case study was carried out to analyze the impact of various factors on commuting mode choice after rail transit lines adjustment. At the same time,a traditional MNL model was constructed to compare with SEM-Logit model. The results show that, compared with traditional MNL model, the model constructed in this paper has better goodness of fit, which is improved by 0.17,and it also has a higher likelihood ratio, indicating that the SEM-Logit model considering limited feedback and habit dependence of individual is more capable to explain residents’ commuting travel mode choice behavior under the adjustment of urban rail transit lines. The applicability and effectiveness of the model constructed in this paper is verified. |
