| At present,the process of urbanization is accelerating,the living standards of residents have also been improved,the share of private cars has also increased significantly,and the number of traffic accidents has remained high throughout the year.Therefore,road traffic safety has attracted more and more attention and attention.Pedestrians are a vulnerable group in the road traffic system,especially the traffic environment at signalized intersections is more complex and changeable,and accidents occur frequently.In order to reduce the potential danger of conflicts between vehicles and pedestrians,traffic conflict technology is used as a means to analyze the impact of right-turning vehicles on pedestrians crossing the street through video processing technology,explore the severity of pedestrian-vehicle conflicts,and conduct safety assessments in the conflict area.The main conclusions of this research are as follows:(1)Analyze the traffic characteristics of pedestrians and right-turning vehicles at signalized intersections.Age,gender,travel purpose,cultural quality,psychological status,and traffic conditions affect pedestrians’ crossing behavior;there are three main ways for pedestrians to cross the street: acceleration,original speed,and deceleration Passing the crosswalk,the concrete performance is stable type,green light phase front and back acceleration or deceleration type,unstable type.(2)Through the study of the conflict mechanism between pedestrians and right-turning vehicles,the severity of traffic conflicts can characterize traffic accidents,establish a traffic conflict index system,select TTC,DST,and PET indicators to quantitatively analyze the severity of pedestrian-vehicle conflicts through comparative analysis,and use traffic Conflict technology evaluation can reflect the safety of pedestrians crossing the street.(3)Based on the video processing technology to identify and extract the collected conflict data,the results show that the video processing data is true and effective.Based on the psychological characteristics of right-turning vehicle drivers,the way of "interaction" between vehicles and pedestrians is explored,and it is found that vehicle driving behavior is related to the number of pedestrians.At the same time,a mathematical model of right-turning vehicle rushing is established.(4)Exploring the relationship between each conflict index and the speed of pedestrians and vehicles.The higher the average speed of pedestrians crossing the street,the higher the TTC value,the lower the DST value and the rising PET value;the higher the average speed of right-turning vehicles,The TTC value shows a downward trend,the DST value shows an upward trend,and the PET value shows a downward trend.Establish a sample conflict severity grading model to explore the significant factors that affect the severity of the conflict between pedestrians and right-turning vehicles,including: number of conflicts,changes in pedestrian speed,conflict types,right-turn models,traffic flow,car following conditions,and vehicle speed changes,The length of the crosswalk,day and night.(5)The area where pedestrians and right-turning vehicles conflict at signalized intersections is used as the evaluation object,and TC,STC,TC/MPCU,and STC/MPCU are selected as safety evaluation indicators to determine the safety evaluation model.A whitening weight function based on a sine curve is constructed to evaluate the safety of pedestrian crossing.The safety evaluation results of 12 sample areas are obtained as 2 areas are particularly safe,4 areas are safe,3 areas are critically safe,and 3 areas are not safe. |
