The Safety Evaluation Research For Intersections In Chang’an Area Of Xi’an City Based On Traffic Conflict Technology

This paper first introduces the need for a signalized intersection safety assessment, andbriefly describes the existing cross intersection safety evaluation method to analyze thecharacteristics of the existing signalized intersection of domestic and international safetyassessment found that the accident statistics method assessment cross junction defects on thebasis of the evaluation method based on two kinds of safety evaluation method of the trafficconflict technique: The safety assessment method based on gray clustering method and themethod of evaluation based on the safety of intersection signal phase.Based on the research situation of traffic conflict technology as the premise, and basedon this, this paper focuses on the conflict and the serious conflict of difference to determinethis paper traffic conflict in the investigation of the standards. Second through analyzing theconditions on intersection of the road and the characteristics of the traffic flow to summed upthe impact factor of conflict point on intersection is: the number of intersect road, the signalcontrol and left-turning.Combined with the characteristics of the cross and the characteristics of the conflict, andputs forward the intersection traffic conflict technology based on the intersection of safetyevaluation method: grey clustering evaluation method and phase signal safety evaluationmethod. Based on the above mentioned safety evaluation method in practice, choose the levelof security low intersections as the object of research, and evaluate the safety of traffic.The core of the thesis is to assess the safety of the traffic conflict technique method,respectively, as follows:①Gray clustering method is a traffic conflict with the mixing ratio of the equivalentvolume of traffic for the evaluation of the safety evaluation method, which is based on perhour when the average traffic conflicts and traffic data. And the method is applied to thesafety evaluation of multiple cross the intersection, you can play a quick cluster analysis andsafety evaluation of the effect.②Intersection signal phase method is the different types of conflicts based on phasetraffic collision investigation, analysis of different phases under traffic collision rate, the sizeof the comparison of phase-averaged collision rate to determine the turn left the conflict is the intersection of conflict The main object of study, key factors to determine the transformationof the junctions.Finally, The thesis of the method is applied to the intersection of chang’an safetyevaluation study. Choosing to lower the intersection of security through the gray clusteringmethod and evaluating safety of the signal phase, and getting the evaluation results.Decreasing the conflict points and improving the angle-conflict to solve the problem on theintersection traffic conflicts according to the appraisal conclusion with a number of specificimprovement measures.
