Urban agglomeration is the highest structural organization form of a city in its mature stage. The formation and evolution of the spatial pattern of urban agglomeration have obvious traffic orientation.Based on the complexity theory, this study establishes an urban agglomeration complex transportation network centrality measurement model, selects the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration as the research area, and constructs a rail-highway complex transportation network topology. On this basis, this study uses Pajek and Arc GIS software to measure and visualize the three indicators of network degree centrality, closeness centrality, and betweenness centrality, and analyze the characteristics of network topology and spatial structure heterogeneity.Secondly, the traffic network efficiency measurement model is constructed from three perspectives: node, local and global, and the kernel density analysis and univariate local Moran’s I analysis are carried out with the help of Arc GIS and Geoda software. The spatial heterogeneity and agglomeration characteristics of complex traffic network efficiency in urban agglomeration are revealed in many dimensions. Finally,in order to explore the effect or influence of the spatial heterogeneity of efficiency on the development of urban agglomerations, efficiency indicators of different scales are used as independent variables, and socioeconomic factors such as urban population,GDP,and urban facilities are selected as dependent variables to analyze the spatial correlation characteristics between the two variables. The study found that:(1)The complex transportation network of urban agglomerations presents “small-world” characteristics, with a shorter average path length and a larger clustering coefficient;(2)The complex transportation network of urban agglomerations has obvious structural heterogeneity characteristics: the degree centrality is "multi-center" spatial distribution, the closeness centrality is "core-edge" spatial distribution, while the betweenness centrality is discrete distribution with dot mosaic, and has spatial viscosity(spatial inertia)distribution characteristics;(3)The efficiency of complex transportation networks in urban agglomerations is not balanced significantly. The kernel density distribution of nodal efficiency and local efficiency is a typical "core-edge" spatial differentiation pattern. The global efficiency kernel density distribution accords with the spatial differentiation characteristics of "multi-core multicenter";(4)The efficiency of complex transportation networks in urban agglomerations has positive agglomeration characteristics, but the agglomeration characteristics are weak or not obvious. Most of them are with high-high agglomeration nodes as the core area,low-high agglomeration nodes as the middle area, and low-low aggregation nodes are the circle distribution pattern of the edge area;(5)The efficiency indicators under different scales are important factors that affect urban population,GDP and urban service facilities.Their effect is a positive and positive promotion. At the same time, nodal efficiency and local efficiency have more significant spatial correlation effects on social economic factors. This study evaluates the efficiency heterogeneity of the complex traffic network of urban agglomeration from the perspective of topology and spatial visualization analysis, and verifies the feasibility of the method. It also provides reference and experience for the sustainable development and planning of urban agglomeration traffic in Guanzhong Plain.
