Commercial walking block is an important urban public space for consumption,entertainment,shopping,leisure,office and accommodation.With the continuous compound of the functions of commercial buildings,the social communication,leisure and entertainment,sports and fitness activities in the commercial walking blocks are also more abundant.In addition to the basic shopping function,commercial pedestrian blocks also have important urban functions such as urban appearance display,urban culture communication,residents’ leisure and entertainment,sports and fitness,and traffic organization.In order to promote the outdoor activities of residents in the cold region and drive the growth of urban consumption,it is of great significance to optimize the commercial space of the walking blocks in the cold region.The main characteristics of cities in cold regions are that summer is more comfortable,winter is long and cold,and the transition season is short and the temperature rises and falls rapidly compared with the southern region.Due to the long winter in the cold region,residents’ time for outdoor activities is greatly compressed,which results in the decrease of the utilization efficiency of public space in the city of the cold region,and residents’ activities in the commercial pedestrian street area of the cold region are also affected.The adjustment of climate in cold cities is helpful to improve residents’ outdoor thermal comfort and prolong their outdoor activity time.Therefore,an in-depth study on the thermal environment of commercial walking blocks in cold regions is of great significance to promote residents’ outdoor activities and optimize the quality of urban environment.Through the measurement of thermal environment in commercial walking streets in cold region,the investigation of residents’ behavior and activities and the subjective questionnaire survey,this study deeply explored the characteristics of residents’ behavior and activities and the comfort of thermal environment in commercial walking streets in cold region.Based on the behavior investigation of the central street in Harbin,this paper classifies and integrates the behavior activities of commercial walking blocks,and discusses the spatio-temporal distribution of different types of behavior activities.At the same time,the measured thermal environment data of different behavior space are analyzed to get the thermal environment demand of different behavior.According to the research results of behavioral activity and thermal environment,the correlation analysis of various behavioral activity density and thermal comfort was carried out,and the relationship between behavioral activity and thermal environment was quantitatively evaluated.Based on the subjective questionnaire survey,the evaluation index of universal thermal climate index with different behaviors is established,which provides evidence-based basis for the thermal environment design of commercial walking blocks.Finally,the influence of different behaviors on the space thermal environment is discussed,and the design of commercial pedestrian street in cold region is discussed from the four aspects of block overall planning,street space,square space and rest space.According to the case investigation of commercial pedestrian street in cold region,the range range of design parameters was determined,and the simulation working conditions were established.The simulation model was built through Grasshopper parameterization platform.The simulation experiment of each design parameter was carried out through the control variables,and the simulation results were analyzed,discussed and screened to put forward the design strategy for the thermal environment of commercial walking blocks in the cold region.
