| Wudang Mountain is a famous Taoist mountain and a world cultural heritage site.It has a vast ancient architectural complex with a long history.Many dynasties built palaces here,especially the Ming Dynasty.According to historical records,during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty,Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty overhauled the temple in Wudang Mountain and built a large-scale Taoist complex.After the Ming Dynasty for a hundred years,the maintenance and construction of the Wudang Mountain Temple has also been valued by the emperors of the Ming Dynasty.Large-scale construction requires a huge amount of building materials,especially brick and glaze materials.Wudang Palace is a royal building,and its brick and glazed building materials need to be fired by official kilns organized by the government.This process is also a vital part of the construction of the ancient buildings in Wudang Mountain.Therefore,the research on the Wudang Mountain official kiln site is of great significance to complement its construction history.According to historical records and some kiln sites discovered in recent years,Wudang Mountain did have a large number of kilns during the Ming Dynasty,and these kilns were closely related to the construction of Wudang Mountain.However,due to lack of exact clues in archaeology,the specific relationship between these kiln sites and Wudang Mountain has not been clearly defined.During the third national census of cultural relics,a Liuli Kiln site was discovered around Wudang Mountain,namely the Pangwan site in Qingtang Village.The unearthed glazed tiles and other components are highly consistent with the various characteristics of the corresponding specimens of some palaces in Wudang Mountain.In addition,the strict control of glazed building materials in the Ming Dynasty and the status of the Ming Dynasty imperial family temple in Wudang Mountain can indicate that the kiln site was supplied by the Ming Dynasty.The royal colored glaze kiln of Wudangshan building materials.The Pangwan kiln site is relatively intact,which is of great significance for studying the cultural heritage of Wudang Mountain.In this context,the author takes the Wudang Liuli official kiln site in Pangwan as a starting point to study the Wudang official kiln site in the Ming Dynasty.This article first introduces the construction of palaces and temples in Wudang Mountain during the Ming Dynasty and draws out its huge demand for brick and glaze materials.Then combined with the natural environment of Wudang Mountain,it expounds the social background and natural background of the Wudang Mountain Guan Kiln Factory in Ming Dynasty.Through field investigation and historical clues,the distribution and status quo of known kiln sites in Wudang Mountain are sorted out,and then the spatial distribution characteristics of the official kiln sites in Wudang Mountain are analyzed,and the relationship with Wudang Mountain is explored.Then take the Pangwan kiln site as an example to do a more in-depth study on the Wudang Mountain official kiln site,and discuss its site selection characteristics,shape characteristics,service scope,evolution and decay process.Finally,under the historical background of the construction of Wudang Mountain in the Ming Dynasty,combined with the characteristics of the Wudang official kiln site and the technology of the Ming Dynasty kiln industry,the relevant links in the operation of the Wudang Mountain kiln industry in the Ming Dynasty were analyzed.It is hoped to have an overall understanding of the Wudang Mountain official kiln site and provide a basis for subsequent protection and utilization. |
