Technological development has brought about tremendous changes in economic and social areas, while the Internet and digital economy have entered a phase of ultra-fast development. With the implementation of the "Internet+" plan, the digital economy diffused rapidly.E-commerce,as one of the most active and pivotal manifestations of the digital economy, has become an important link affecting cities and even the regional industrial economics.Quantitative empirical research on the industrial space and urban pattern is one of the hot topics in economics, geography, urban planning and other academic circles, through which,we have developed a wealth of research results and profound understanding. However, with the innovation of Internet technology and the further development of e-commerce,the digital economy has changed structurally, which will also lead to the adjustment of the real industry and the urban industrial pattern.New data are urgently needed to explore the new features, trends and problem of the urban industrial space. The evolution of e-commerce industrial space is equally important, yet due to the lack of data and its complexity,it is hard to be discussed at the national level.Existing research includes the data of B2B e-commerce enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region in 2017.Through comparing the data in 2017 with the newly obtained data, the current situation and evolutionary trends of the e-commerce industrial space in the Yangtze River Delta region can be re-examined,which also provide important empirical evidence for the research on the evolution of the e-commerce industrial space in China.Considering the importance and subjectivity of B2B e-commerce in e-commerce,the paper selects B2B e-commerce enterprises as the research data,Craw the supplier data on Alibaba website, use various methods to study the industrial and spatial pattern characteristics of national B2B e-commerce enterprises from two dimensions——industrial distribution and spatial distribution, through the analysis of the distribution, industrial concentration and spatial autocorrelation of provincial and municipal enterprises.Afterwards, this research will compare the data of the Yangtze River Delta in 2017 and 2020,study the spatial pattern and its evolutionary path from two dimensions——the evolution of industry and space, through the analysis of changes in the growth of the number and the spatial distribution of B2B ecommerce enterprises, and the evolution of the industry markets.Based on the quantitative analysis of the whole country and the Yangtze River Delta region, the paper hold the view that the pattern of national e-commerce is agglomeration of differential order and the coexistence of old and new.The industrial pattern is characterized by differences in spatial distribution and product categories, and specialized industrial clusters, while the spatial pattern is characterized by the coexistence of traditional industrial space and new industrial space.Differences between regions are obvious, and the spatial distribution of B2B e-commerce industry is extremely uneven, which areas in China’s eastern coastal show a high degree of concentration and Guangdong Province has the largest number of B2B e-commerce enterprises. At the same time, similar industries cluster in the region and form highly specialized local industry clusters and specialized cities. The traditional urban agglomerations support the large-scale development of B2B e-commerce.And in the established city hierarchy,a new city system that breaks through the traditional city pattern has emerged.Emerging cities such as have become important gathering cities for e-commerce enterprises, while traditional economic centers such as Beijing,Nanjing,Zhengzhou and Jinan are not prominent.Comparing the spatial pattern of the B2B e-commerce industry in the Yangtze River Delta in 2017 and 2020,it can be found that the e-commerce industry is in a dynamic process of continuous renewal, and its trend of spreading from south to north has gradually become clear. The evolution of the e-commerce industry in the Yangtze River Delta is characterized by rapid growth in quantity and refinement of industry categories, with consumer products as the main body of increase, and the evolution of space presents a trend of coexistence of agglomeration and diffusion. On the one hand, the spatial pattern of traditional industry shaped as "Z" in Yangtze River Delta region has re-emerged,characterized by the digitalization of manufacturing. On the other hand, the space corridor of new industry——"Shanghai-Yiwu agglomeration belt" is strengthening and dominates the spatial pattern of the new economy in the Yangtze River Delta region, and compose the spatial pattern of "Two Cores,Three Axes, and Two Corridors" in the Yangtze River Delta region, with the rise of a new agglomeration corridor "Xuzhou-SuqianLianyungang".This pattern both overlaps with and differs from the traditional industrial pattern, and it is both tradition and innovation space. It is a typical empirical evidence the integration of China’s digital economy and the real economy. The whole thesis contains about 55 000 words,57 pictures and charts.
