Special education is an important part of a country’s education system,and it can highlight the level of social civilization of a country.According to relevant survey results,as of 2018,there were 2,152 special education schools nationwide,with 666,000 students in special education schools.As the party and the state attach importance to education for this special group,social attention has gradually increased.Education is showing a positive development trend,but China’s special education as a whole is still facing many challenges such as a low starting point for development,a large population base,and uneven development in various regions,especially as a campus environment for teachers and students to study and live in special schools.An important activity area.In the planning and construction process of many schools,the design and research foundation for special schools is relatively weak,and there are still certain deficiencies in many aspects such as the grasp of design principles,their special needs,and the understanding of the use of functions.The outdoor environment of the special school is no different from the general campus.The design concept of urban gardening conforming to the theme of the times will be able to provide new ideas for the landscape design research of the outdoor environment of special education schools.Combining with the development needs of special education schools,the design concept of urban gardening can better meet the needs of special school students.On this basis,it puts forward the reference and suggestions of the learning environment more in line with the characteristics of special school students,so as to promote the improvement of the overall landscape quality of the outdoor environment of special education schools.This paper uses literature research,questionnaire survey,system analysis and other methods to explore the correlation between the outdoor environment of special education schools and urban gardening landscape design.Finally,it is demonstrated through actual cases,and the comprehensive research results are as follows:(1)Urban gardening makes up for the lack of psychological and emotional lack of social participation and communication generated by special school students due to physiological reasons by improving the spatial affinity of exercise venues and providing gardening activities.At the same time,it enhances the interest and enthusiasm of students’ daily activities to satisfy The activity intensity of most students’ daily exercise.(2)Put forward the design principles and key points of the outdoor environment landscape design research of special education school based on urban gardening,and complete the design case of the landscape design of Changsha Peizhi Special Education School through practical application and local improvement.This research aims to provide a theoretical foundation and practical basis for the outdoor environmental landscape design of special education based on urban gardening,and to provide guidance for the gardening design of special education.From the perspective of landscape sociology,realize social fairness and the development of ecological civilization.
