With the development of economy and society, the health problems of cities and people are becoming more and more serious.Traffic congestion, housing shortage, environmental pollution and other urban health problems are becoming more and more serious. The incidence of obesity, hypertension, diabetes and other chronic diseases is also on the rise.As one of the theories to guide the improvement of health problems in cities and people, healthy city plays a significant role in promoting the improvement of physical activity and even the improvement of health level of residents. This paper takes healthy city and healthy community as the entry point, focuses on the built environment in the physical environment, and discusses the internal relationship between the built environment and the physical activity of residents,so as to increase the walking activity behavior and improve the health level of residents through the optimization of urban built environment. This paper summarizes and sorts out the theories and research results of healthy cities at home and abroad.Combined with the concept of living circle, this paper explores the mechanism of cities’ influence on people’s health from the perspectives of built environment and residents’ physical activity.Three typical healthy communities in Suzhou were selected as research areas, and 11 specific research areas were divided to obtain relevant data.In terms of urban built environment, based on the domestic and foreign research results and the actual situation in suzhou, from land use, road traffic, accessibility and the spatial quality four aspects affect residents’ physical activity built 12 selected environmental elements, use data collection tools such as Python from Scott street view maps, baidu and other open source data website to obtain data on the built environment; In terms of residents’ physical activity, the questionnaire survey method was used to collect residents’ data from three aspects: basic information of residents, walking trip and activity, and physical activity evaluation. The built environment data obtained are processed and analyzed by using the Semantic Segmentation tool and Arc GIS platform, etc.,and are visualized for expression.SPSS software was used to establish the correlation and multiple linear regression model of the impact of built environment on physical activity of residents, and the influence mechanism of built environment factors on physical activity duration and physical activity satisfaction was analyzed.According to the analysis results, five built environment factors, including functional density, functional mixing degree, road network density, traffic station accessibility and green visibility, which have significant influence on residents’ physical activity, are summarized. It is considered that higher functional density and functional mix, dense road traffic network, convenient layout of traffic stops and rich and varied space greening have obvious promoting effects on residents’ walking, and the results of non-significant correlation of built environment factors are discussed. Thus, five optimization suggestions are put forward, namely,"encouraging compatibility and mixing" to increase the diversity of function utilization; To build a walking network supported by a high-density road network system;Create humanized,multi-level and dynamic landscape space;Creating walkable and highly efficient traffic stops;Create comfortable and safe ideal living mode.
