The streets in the center of Chengdu bear the historical memory of Chengdu and witness the development and changes of Chengdu.The facade along the street is the carrier of the continuation of the historical context of the city,and is one of the important elements of the city style.However,due to the years of wind and rain,sun exposure,and the lack of maintenance and management in the later stage,the problems such as the disordered color of the facade along the street,the stained and dilapidated windows,the aging of materials,and the confusion of advertising signboards have become more and more prominent,which has seriously affected the image of the city and the identification of streets.With the expansion of the city,the speed of urban construction and renewal is accelerating,and the contrast between the old and new buildings in the city is more and more obvious.With the improvement of people’s aesthetic needs and the improvement of urban image requirements,the engineering practice needs of urban facade reconstruction along the street in the central city of Chengdu are also increasing.In this paper,the facades along the streets in the central urban area of Chengdu are mainly the facades of the old streets(main roads and secondary trunk roads)within the second ring road of Chengdu.By using the methods of literature review,on-the-spot investigation and questionnaire survey,the author conducted an in-depth investigation on the buildings along the streets in the central city of Chengdu.A total of 3657 buildings were investigated,including 2374 residential buildings,accounting for 64.9%.According to the survey,most of the buildings along the street in the central city of Chengdu are civil buildings,and most of the old buildings were built in the 1980 s and 1990 s.According to the investigation,the main structure of most old buildings is still in good condition,but most of them have some problems,such as the old,powdered and spalling of the external surface,the damage and deformation of the external window,the insufficient air tightness of the external window,and the roof penetration,which have caused great damage to the beauty of the facade along the street,and affected the safety of the users.In addition,the heat transfer coefficients of components on the facades of most old buildings are far higher than the current standard limits.Many old buildings have poor indoor thermal environment and large building energy consumption.Through the investigation and analysis of previous engineering cases,the author found that the facade reconstruction project along the street is more focused on aesthetics and design,but less on energy saving.Based on the theory of urban organic renewal,in view of the current situation and existing problems of the facade along the street in the central city of Chengdu,this paper proposes the basic principles and ideas for the organic renewal of the facade along the street in Chengdu City Center from the improvement of visual beauty and indoor thermal environment;for the exterior wall of the facade along the street,it proposes to replace the original building facing materials,outsource the original building facade and exterior For the exterior windows in the transparent exterior enclosure structure in the facades along the street,the paper puts forward the transformation design methods such as changing windows,adding windows and pasting film on the original external windows,and puts forward the transformation design methods of the sunshade of the external windows,and discusses the reconstruction design of the existing curtain wall;and puts forward the flat modification for the roof of the facades along the street The paper puts forward the corresponding reconstruction design method for the accessory components of the facade along the street,and puts forward corresponding suggestions for the management and maintenance of the facade along the street.In addition,in view of the insufficient thermal insulation performance of various parts of the facade along the street,this paper puts forward the idea of simultaneous implementation of thermal insulation and energy-saving transformation and relevant measures to beautify the facade while reducing the overall energy consumption of the building and improving the indoor thermal environment.Finally,the reconstruction design strategy and energy-saving measures are applied to the facade reconstruction project along the first ring road(Chenghua section)in Chengdu,and the theoretical results of this paper are explored and expressed in practice.In the process of urban renewal,the renovation of the facade along the street,as one of the links,integrates energy-saving considerations into the transformation,beautifies the facade along the street,and at the same time,it can also improve the thermal performance of the building envelope,reduce the overall energy consumption of the building,which is in line with the era concept of sustainable development.This paper hopes to beautify the facade along the street,improve the quality of the street,improve the living environment of the local residents,and reduce the energy consumption of the buildings along the street in the central city of Chengdu through the theoretical research and engineering practice of the renovation design of the facade along the street in the central city of Chengdu,so as to provide certain reference and reference for the reconstruction of the facade along the street in the central city of Chengdu in the future Reference.
