Research Promotion Strategy Of Public Space Quality And Vitality Evaluation In Old Community

The old community is an important part of the city,and the public space in the old community is the main activity place for residents in their daily life.The quality and vitality of public space often affect the residents’ happiness of life and urban development of the whole community.With the gradual transformation of most cities in China from the "incremental era" of expansion and development to the "stock era" of focusing on quality,however,due to factors such as long construction time and different historical background,problems such as the declining vitality of public space in old residential areas and the inability of facilities to meet the needs of residents’ activities have become increasingly apparent.How to reasonably evaluate and find solutions to the public space in the old community has become a topic of common concern to the government,society and residents.This study selected eight different types of old communities in downtown area of Shijiazhuang,took the public space in the community as the research object,and conducted a systematic study on the environment of public space and public activities.The main results are as follows:(1)Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the public space in the old community,the public space system in the old community is clearly dismantled.In the subsequent process,the classification research is carried out according to the system.(2)With PSPL research method,through on-the-spot investigation and questionnaire interview the way of combining typical public space for the quantitative assessment of the public space environment and public activities,public activities and preliminary analysis using the SPSS data analysis software and the correlation of public space environment,found that the public space environment elements of space vitality with the influence of different level.(3)Based on the preliminary investigation and Delphi method,the index collection of public space vitality evaluation was screened out,and the evaluation system of public space vitality in the old community was established by the analytic hierarchy process(AHP),and the example was verified.(4)According to the evaluation results of the vitality evaluation system,this paper puts forward targeted strategies for the improvement of the vitality of public space from the aspects of the public space system and the impact factors of vitality.
