The Sichuan-Tibet Railway is the first line in china that passes through the western plateau area and can operate at a speed of 200k/h EMU.Compared with China’s existing mountain railway in terms of railway line conditions and train operation grades, the construction and operation of the Sichuan-Tibet railway is the most difficult in the world.Due to the extreme cold and lack of oxygen caused by its special geographical location, the installation of comprehensive maintenance skylight has more complex requirements, further intensifying the contradiction between the installation of the skylight and the operation of train. With the continuous improvement of the scale of road network and the growth of demand for passenger and freight transportation, the routine operation of Sichuan-Tibet Railway will be the future development trend. In order to coordinate the contradiction between the skylight installation and train operation of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, the following work is carried out in this paper.1.The current situation of domestic and foreign research is analyzed and summarized.By comparing the differences between Sichuan-Tibet Railway and existing mountain railways in terms of environmental characteristics, route technical conditions, transportation organization mode, and train operation types, the particularity and necessity of the research on the opening of the Sichuan-Tibet railway skylight were proposed.2.Comprehensively considering the train transportation demand and climatic conditions of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway,it is proposed that the Sichuan-Tibet Railway should open a segmented rectangular skylight or "V"-shaped skylight with a duration of 4 hours. And Tianfu-Kangding section,Linzhi-Lhasa section should open night skylights between 0:00 a.m.and 6:00 a.m.;Kangding-Lhasa section should open daytime skylights between 7:00 a.m.and 7:00 p.m.The influence of the opening period of the skylight on the running time of trains under different forms of skylight is analyzed, and the modeling idea that aims to provide the longest sum of the operating time of EMUs in different directions in different departure periods is proposed.3.According to the transportation organization model of Sichuan-Tibet Railway, the optimization model of coordination between the skylight and the train running time in the form of segment-rectangular skylight and "V"-shaped skylight is established, which takes the maximum sum of the available running time of the EMU as the goal and the reasonable starting and ending time range of the trains, the opening time of the skylight and the tracking operation of the trains as constraints.Based on the running scheme of 12 benchmark trains on Sichuan-Tibet Railway, the problems of the running time of EMU and the opening scheme of skylight were solved.Under the premise that the train does not wait for the skylight to operate, the coordination of the passenger and freight split-time operation and the skylight opening plan with the longest operating time of the EMU as the goal is realized. The calculation results were analyzed, and finally, suggestions for opening skylights on the Sichuan-Tibet Railway were given.Based on the actual line conditions of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, combined with the restrictions on the setting of skylights by line transportation requirements and climatic conditions, this paper studied the coordination and optimization of the opening periods of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway trains and the opening of skylights. It has a certain reference significance to the installation of the comprehensive maintenance skylight of the complex and difficult mountainous railway in the future in our country.
