Under the continuous effect of increasing traffic load and environment,the performance of asphalt pavement inevitably deteriorates year by year which leads to the increase of maintenance demand.The maintenance measures cannot be applied scientifically and reasonably without accurate evaluation of pavement performance,and large amounts of maintenance funds will even be wasted.In addition,most of the existing maintenance decision-making models only consider one maintenance goal,such as reducing maintenance cost and improving pavement performance.Multiple maintenance goals are rarely considered at the same time,let alone their internal relations.Based on the highways in Jiangsu Province and the research results of asphalt pavement maintenance management decision support system(PMS),this paper systematically studies the problem of multi-objective maintenance decision-making of asphalt pavement.Firstly,the performance evaluation indexes suitable for the highways in Jiangsu Province were determined,and the current condition of highway asphalt pavement in Jiangsu Province was comprehensively evaluated,including the general situation of road network,the distribution of road age,traffic volume and pavement performance(rutting,roughness,skid resistance,pavement distress and structural strength).Secondly,the influencing factors of pavement performance were analyzed.GM(1,1)was applied to establish the pavement performance prediction model of sections which were not maintained.According to the development law of rutting,roughness,skid resistance and transverse crack,the performance prediction models under different maintenance measures and different traffic volumes were established.The pavement performance prediction model suitable for network level decision-making was established by using Markov theory.The accuracy of models was verified.Then,the multi-objective decision-making method was introduced into the pavement maintenance decision-making.The network level and project level multi-objective decision-making models of highway asphalt pavements were established respectively.The network level model aims to minimize the maintenance cost,maximize the maintenance benefit and maximize the length of excellent road sections,while the project level model focuses on optimizing the pavement performance level,minimizing the maintenance cost and maximizing environmental benefits.The decision-making logic,process and solution methods were given.Finally,the implementation process of the project level multi-objective maintenance decisionmaking was introduced by taking Xigang Expressway as an example.The five-year maintenance planning scheme of the Xigang Expressway was given. |
