Research On The Urbanity Of Near-Ground Space Of High-Rise Buildings Based On Behavioral Needs

Since late 19 th century,high-rise buildings have evolved from birth to maturity along with the development of urban and the expansion of population.Due to the aggregation in function and space,high-rise buildings greatly alleviate the contradiction between land and population,and improve the efficiency of urban operation.Co-development with the city is the development trend of high-rise buildings.In this process,the near-ground space where high-rise buildings connect with the city plays an important role.This thesis relies on the Xuzhou Dongfangliming International Center Design Project to research the urbanity of near-ground space of high-rise buildings,which focusing on the relationship between high-rise buildings and urban space.First of all,based on the evolution of the relationship between high-rise buildings and urban space,this thesis divides the development of near-ground space into three periods and summarizes the factors that influence the urbanity of near-ground space in terms of policy,economy,technology,and material.This thesis summarizes the urbanity of the near-ground space into three aspects: "with urban characteristics,integrating into the city,and promoting the development of the city".Then,this thesis divides the behaviors of users into three categories: necessary behaviors,spontaneous behaviors,and social behaviors,and discusses the characteristics and needs of behaviors respectively.The near-ground space of high-rise buildings should stimulate and accommodate spontaneous behavior and social behavior on the basis of satisfying people’s necessary behaviors.Therefore,this thesis summarizes the design principles of near-ground space as traffic accessibility,functional diversity and spatial openness.Finally,this thesis proposes the design strategy for the near-ground space of high-rise buildings from three aspects: firstly,the near-ground space needs to be effectively connected with urban traffic and establish a pedestrian-first traffic environment;secondly,the near-ground space needs to introduce urban functions,and use the diverse mix of functions to serve the people;thirdly,the near-ground space needs to be integrated with the urban space,and create suitable places for activities through the dissolution of the interface.Through the research of the urbanity,this thesis is aimed to provide several ways of thinking and reference value for the practice of high-rise buildings to promote the harmonious relationship between people and the city.
