The driving performance of a vehicle is often determined by key components.As an important part of the vehicle,the performance of the transmission directly affects the performance of the vehicle.For heavy commercial vehicle transmissions,not only is the pursuit of multiple gears more important,but also the pursuit of greater power transmission performance.In the process of driving the vehicle,due to friction,impact and heat generation of the internal components of the transmission,it will lead to power loss and temperature rise in the transmission,coupled with insufficient heat dissipation,which in turn affects the lubrication effect.In view of this,this paper takes a commercial vehicle transmission as the research object,through the analysis of splash lubrication theory and finite element simulation analysis,comprehensive consideration of heat production and flow field coupling relationship,design transmission temperature control lubrication module,aiming to improve the transmission temperature control and lubrication effect.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows.(1)This paper takes the transmission main case normally meshing gear pair as the research object,adopts the analytical method to study the gear meshing characteristics,considers the theory of transmission load power loss and no-load power loss,and calculates the total power loss.Based on the transmission heat transfer mechanism,the oil and gas space inside the transmission is analysed,and the technical route for balancing the transmission heat flow field is proposed to illustrate the necessity of taking temperature-controlled lubrication measures.(2)In this paper,a temperature-controlled lubrication module is designed for a 12-speed commercial vehicle transmission,with the aim of improving the temperature control and lubrication effect inside the transmission.The development of a temperature control system external to the transmission provides the basis for simulated temperature control tests.Based on a company’s special test equipment,combined with the selfdeveloped temperature control system,four types of temperature rise tests and extreme temperature control tests were carried out on transmissions under typical operating conditions,and the results showed the feasibility of the temperature control system,laying the foundation for the development of a universal transmission temperature control and lubrication module.(3)Based on CAE simulation technology,this paper uses the SPH method to simulate the splash lubrication of the transmission,to visualise the transmission gear drive process and to study the lubricant distribution state of the transmission during operation,and the results show that the lubrication points at the edge of the splash lubrication method cannot be adequately lubricated.The results show that the lubrication points at the edge of the splash lubrication method are not adequately lubricated.The original transmission lubrication method is optimised by improving the oil guidance and ensuring the oil supply through the temperature-controlled lubrication module.
