| Background and Objective: With the gradual deepening of the aging trend in China,it has become an urgent need to seek effective methods to promote safe and rational drug use in elderly patients.As an auxiliary medication tool,the smart pill box has functions such as reminding patients to take medicine,which can help patients to follow the doctor’s advice.For the elderly,the smart pill box products on the market need to be further developed.Based on this,it is necessary to explore the demand indicators of smart pill boxes for the elderly.Thesis explores relevant demand indicators from various aspects,and provides a reference for designing medication aids more suitable for elderly patients with chronic diseases.Methods:（1）Know customers and market of smart pill boxes.（2）Mine online comment texts to obtain demand indicators for smart pill boxes.（3）Investigate literature,analyze the future development trend of smart pill boxes,and enrich demand indicators.（4）Carry out a questionnaire survey among middle-aged and elderly patients,and obtain the relevant needs of the elderly smart pill box in combination with expert consultation.Results and Conclusions:（1）The growth of domestic patents related to smart pill box in the past five years far exceeds that of foreign countries.The technology related to smart pill box is in the "growth stage" and will continue to develop rapidly in the next few years,and may develop special functions of smart pill boxes or to improve the functions of existing smart pill boxes.（2）Based on online comment mining and literature analysis,a demand hierarchy for smart medicine boxes is formed,including 5first-level indicators of appearance,price,quality,capacity,and function,as well as beautiful color,good sealing,simple operation,easy portability and other 12 secondary indicators.（3）The results of the questionnaire survey showed that 82% of the patients required long-term regular medication,55% of the patients had poor medication compliance,and 81.67% of the patients used smart products.These indicated that middle-aged and elderly patients had a demand for smart pill boxes,and the acceptance is high.Regarding the color of the smart pill box,24% of patients think blue is the best,followed by white.Regarding the shape of the smart pill box,27.29% of the patients expected a rectangle shape,followed by a disc shape and an oval shape.Regarding the smart pill box reminder method,52.65% of the patients believed that the sound reminder was the best,followed by the light reminder.The six demand indicators that patients look forward to most are reminding after forgetting to take medicine,instructing medication,reminding medication,recording medication,portability,and sealing.（4）A comprehensive analysis of questionnaire survey and expert consultation shows that demand indicators such as portability,good sealing,and reminding patients to take medicine correctly are more important.Thesis focuses on the practical application of rational drug use in the elderly,and explores the demand of various aspects of the elderly smart pill boxes.It is of great significance to further design and promote the application of the elderly smart pill boxes and improve the medication compliance of the elderly. |
