With the rapid development of China’s economy and technology,railway transportation has become one of the main way of freight transportation.The efficiency of marshalling and dispatching at marshalling yards affects the efficiency of freight transport.The hump reducer is the core of marshalling yard operations and the most important hump speed in my country.One of the control equipment,the performance and reliability of the reducer is directly related to the safety and operating efficiency of the shunting.Compared with the traditional hump reducer,the electromagnetic reducer has fast braking speed,is not affected by climatic conditions,high control accuracy,simple structure,small maintenance,short occupancy distance,less affected by wheel conditions,and can be used on curves and other advantages.This article mainly proposes a new hump electromagnetic retarder scheme with electromagnetic force as the core in the field of hump speed regulation,and conducts a relatively in-depth electromagnetic modeling and numerical calculation,which lays a certain foundation for subsequent research.The main content of the paper is as follows:The first chapter summarizes the relevant background and research significance of the hump retarder,including the role of marshalling station,the current status of domestic and foreign research and development of hump retarder and the main existing problems,and puts forward the main content of this thesis.The second chapter introduces the structure and working principle of the traditional hump reducer,and proposes a new type of hump electromagnetic retarder structure with high reliability,high safety,and structure,simple control,including two different coil arrangements.By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the two schemes,the final structure of the hump retarder is determined.In addition,the advantages of the hump electromagnetic retarder compared with the traditional hump reducer are discussed,and the structure and working principle of the new scheme are introduced in detail.The third chapter establishes the mathematical model of the electromagnetic retarder of the hump,through Faraday’s law and Ampere’s law,based on the equivalent magnetic circuit method,establishes the friction brake part and the electromagnetic brake part braking force mathematical model.The fourth chapter introduces the finite element simulation process,carries on the parametric analysis of the retarder structure,analyzes the influence of the design parameters on the braking performance of the proposed structure,and establishes the finite element analysis model of the hump electromagnetic retarder under different working conditions.The electromagnetic field of the hump electromagnetic retarder is analyzed and calculated.The fifth chapter analyzes the influence factors of the braking force of the electromagnetic retarder of the hump,and analyzes and calculates the stress field of the most easily deformable components of the retarder,and verifies that the stress change and the magnitude of the deformation under the maximum braking force meet the assessment standards and ensure the retarder can work normally and reliably.The conclusion part summarizes the full text and looks forward to the future research.
