| With the development of China’s urban construction,large-scale architectural transformation of old city blocks has become a common phenomenon in today’s urbanisation, the face of the city streets is undergoing radical changes, gradually generating a variety of waves of return to nature, people have chosen to find their own "sense of belonging" through the "back to nature" approach."In response to this problem,I have attempted to improve people’s current spiritual needs for places to live through the design of urban street architecture in colour.Colour is inherently an important factor in expressing the characteristics of architectural appearance and spiritual feelings. In the face of many problems such as the convergence of urban street appearance, people have a strong sense of "loss",and the convergence of street architectural colours and the lack of spirituality is one of the problems that we urgently need to solve.Take the street architecture of the central city of Tianjin as an example,"green bricks and grey tiles"is our initial impression of the colour of Tianjin’s street architecture. However, with the development and renovation of the city, this base colour has been heavily abused, and the architectural colours have been too "light" to be treated as monotonous grey. This paper takes the architectural colour of Mutnan Road in the central city of Tianjin as a research vehicle, and from the dimension of colour intervention in the spirit of place,it provides an in-depth analysis of the atmospheric expression of the colour of street architecture in the central city of Tianjin under the influence of multiple cultures. The central city is a microcosm of the current development of Tianjin, and on the one hand the ’old’ street architecture needs to be inherited and renewed, while on the other hand the ’new’ street architecture needs to seek new imagery and at the same time connect with the ’old’ city street architecture."On the other hand, the ’new’ street architecture needs to be articulated with the’old’ city street architecture while seeking new imagery. The author puts colour into three dimensions: decoration and construction, vision and atmosphere, and place and memory, and analyses the spiritual field created by colour and street architecture, concluding that the colour of street architecture in the central city of Tianjin is a unique and harmonious strategy for bridging the past and the present, and creating a place atmosphere that belongs to "Gushan". |
