| COVID-19,a contagious disease that could be with us for a long time,is gradually changing the work environment. It will make us have to accelerate and consider different and more flexible modes to achieve the sustainability of work life.Health and well-being,sustainability and flexibility have always been buzzwords in the future of office space. The outbreak of COVID-19 has highlighted the timeliness of these keywords, creating and accelerating its landing in environmental design activities. As a practitioner in the design industry, also a student,I found that when proposing orissuing design tasks, the most demand parties are increasingly focused on considering how to promote collaboration and interaction among employees through creating an the inclusive, sustainable and humanized office environment, ultimately bring efficient work performance. At the same time, due to the persistence of the epidemic in recent years and its changes in affecting work efficiency, the above-mentioned collaborative targeting needs have also changed accordingly compared to the pre-epidemic,and more and more companies’ existing floor plans, frequency of site use and other spatial elements have not been able to adapt well to the timely use of this context, thus forcing both the supply and demand sides to work together to make more adaptive changes to the office environment space decisions. The author takes the design practice of Nantong R Precision Technology LINKS space as a clue, and uses the "Double Diamond Model" as the main research method, and conducts research through field research of the project and comparative analysis of related cases. The basic path of this paper includes: from outlining the background and concept analysis of post-epidemic office space collaboration needs,to analyzing the research purpose and significance of the topic, understanding the current situation at home and abroad, and building a more complete research framework for this paper. From the four stages of the Double Diamond Model, from identifying the problem to defining the problem, summarizing and deducing the problems of existing office spaces and conducting comparative research,we obtain the results of systematic analysis of the post-epidemic office environment and employees’ collaboration needs, take virtual collaboration, healthy collaboration, and multi-person collaboration as the main focus of post-epidemic collaboration needs, focus on the transformation of human behavior and psychological activities in post-epidemic,and explore the role of office environment creation on collaboration The results of the study are based on virtual collaboration, healthy collaboration, and multi-person collaboration. As the conclusion of the practice-based phase study, the author believes that the design strategy of office environment with strong sense of access and rich diversity will promote work collaboration and improve work efficiency while bringing more happiness to users. |
