| Unprecedented dangers and challenges to public health and daily living have been brought about by the spread of the novel coronavirus infection(COVID-19)in 2019.And people’s behaviors in public spaces have also undergone tremendous changes.Residents were forced to take isolation measures,life in urban outdoor spaces came to a standstill several times,and public spaces became deserted in an instant.Nowadays,with the arrival of the post-epidemic era,all aspects of society are still in a state of recovery.Urban public space is a crucial component of urban space and a crucial line of defense in the fight against the spread of infectious illnesses because it carries people’s everyday activities.This article first sorts out the research condition of the elastic design of metropolitan public space in the post-epidemic period in order to clarify the development tendency of the topic.The basic ideas of "post-epidemic era," "urban public space," and "elastic design" are then defined.Because of this,and in light of the post-epidemic era’s background,this paper uses urban public space as its primary research object,introduces the idea of elastic design,analyzes how public health and daily life have affected urban public space,and suggests an elastic design strategy for urban public space in order to increase its resilience to health emergencies.In order to clarify the development tendency of the subject,this paper first sorts out the study state of the elastic design of urban public space in the post-epidemic era.It then defines the fundamental concepts of "post-epidemic era," "urban public space," and "elastic design".This paper outlines the reflection and challenges brought by the epidemic to urban public space and argues for the need to implement flexible design in the post-epidemic era,starting with the impact of the epidemic on public life and public health and its relationship with urban public space.The discrepancies and conflicts between the original old space and the new usage habits are then compiled through the study of the changes in user behavior during various pandemic times and the present condition of the sample space’s use;Three perspectives—macro,meso,and micro—are used to discuss the appropriate elastic landscape design methods in accordance with the space’s challenges and with an eye toward the aforementioned issues.Finally,consider the sample space’s elastic form in the post-pandemic period.It is hoped that the research in this paper can arouse people’s attention to the resilience and anti-epidemic capabilities of urban public spaces in the post-epidemic era,and provide reference for the design of different types of urban public spaces in the post-epidemic era,so as to promote the future of urban public spaces in the direction of resilience and vitality.develop. |
