At the beginning of the 21st century,the American Compensation Association,the most influential non-profit organization in the world of compensation theory research and practical application,put forward a new theory--the theory of total compensation model after summarizing the theoretical research of many experts and scholars in the compensation field.Through the continuous discussion,supplement and improvement and redesign of the total compensation theory in practical application,a relatively perfect total compensation model is finally determined,including five elements,namely,salary,welfare,performance and appreciation,personal development and career opportunities,and work-life balance.Now,after more than 40 years of reform and opening up,China’s social and economic level has been continuously improved,among which state-owned construction enterprises have assumed an extremely important responsibility in the process of national construction.At present,the material living conditions of the general family can well meet the needs of the next generation,which also makes the new generation of employees have different career ideals and career pursuit from the previous generation of wage earners to a certain extent.The new generation of employees pay more attention to the work experience of physical and mental pleasure and the effective embodiment of self-worth.This paper mainly adopts literature research method,data analysis method,questionnaire survey method and expert discussion method to introduce the total compensation model in GDSA state-owned construction enterprises for research.First,by reading the literature about previous research results of experts and scholars on total rewards model,at the same time,enterprises at home and abroad and referring to the construction of a total compensation model experience,combined with GDSA enterprise development present situation,through company report and other data,understand the enterprise strategy,enterprise salary management system,enterprise performance,enterprise culture and so on.Then,according to the enterprise actual situation,and the constituent elements of total compensation model design of some key variables such as questionnaire,investigating GDSA state-owned construction enterprise employees,collect data,analysis,comparison and selection,organize experts to GDSA state-owned construction enterprise’s salary management enterprise compensation management problems put forward the proposal,as a result of the discussion and improvement of final on GDSA state-owned construction enterprises pay management system is optimized.This paper attempts to provide a new compensation management mode for China’s state-owned construction enterprises,and provides a case study for the total compensation theory model in China’s compensation management theory,so as to promote the modernization of compensation management in China’s enterprises.
