| In the context of an increasingly aging world population,dementia has become a medical problem in the world.Therefore,early screening for mild cognitive impairment is critical for the successful management of Alzheimer’s disease.However,limited by current medical methods,cognitive screening is mainly concentrated in health care institutions,and millions of people with cognitive impairment across the country have not been diagnosed,which is not conducive to their access to reasonable medical service plans.In addition,the elderly have stigmatized understanding of dementia symptoms,resistance to cognitive screening,and the defect of decreased physical function,which further increases the difficulty of cognitive screening.In this context,this thesis proposes a design research on cognitive impairment screening products based on protection motivation theory combined with user experience design thinking.The main contents of this article are as follows:1.An overview of the concepts and characteristics of dementia,mild cognitive impairment,and the theory of protective motivation,through case analysis of existing mobile applications related to cognitive screening,to summarize existing problems and apply cognitive screening.sex was discussed;2.Through user research,field investigation and observation in Guangzhou Sanjiu Brain Hospital,to understand the cognitive performance of patients with mild cognitive impairment and the standardized process of clinical cognitive screening.The influencing factors of elderly users’ participation in cognitive screening,and the main factors affecting elderly users’ participation in cognitive screening based on dementia control beliefs and attitudes.Review key engagement strategies applied and specific design recommendations for cognitive assessment content;3.Completed cognitive screening application design practice,conducted design evaluation,6 elderly users participated in cognitive screening application test and Hasegawa dementia test to verify the difference between conventional cognitive assessment and two users were screened Cognitive impairment was present,and the results of the assessment indicated a direct correspondence with its clinical scale.This paper produces an application design for mild cognitive impairment screening for elderly users.It is a theoretically based application that aims to provide information and support for elderly health behaviors around the central theme of cognitive screening.,providing a health application platform for screening,popularization,sharing and mutual support.Mild cognitive impairment screening application is designed to conduct cognitive screening for families and communities,and introduce innovative participation strategies based on the theory of protective motivation to encourage elderly users to actively participate in cognitive assessment,which is important for improving dementia awareness and social advocacy significance. |
