Research On Culture Tracing And Value Reengineering Of Chaozhou Memorial Arch Street

Today’s urban construction in China is shifting from "incremental expansion" to "stock renewal".Implementing urban renewal actions is an important strategic measure to adapt to the new social situation and promote high-quality urban transformation.Chaozhou is a famous national historical and cultural city with profound cultural heritage.As an important symbol of the famous city,Memorial Arch Street is the soul of the ancient city.It not only witnesses the historical vicissitudes of Chaozhou ancient city,but also carries the heavy historical memory of generations of Chaozhou people.How to adapt Memorial Arch Street to the transformation of contemporary cities and implement more calm and cautious protection and renewal is a topic worthy of our in-depth study and a difficult problem that needs to be solved urgently.However,at present,there are few researches specifically on Memorial Arch Street,and the mining of historical information and the construction of protection strategies for Memorial Arch Street are still not perfect.Based on this,this study conducts in-depth research and analysis on Chaozhou Memorial Arch Street,and discusses its protection and renewal strategy,which has very important theoretical value and practical significance.This paper is divided into six chapters,and the arguments are mainly concentrated in the following three parts:In the first part,based on a large number of ancient historical materials,oral histories,and related research documents,the article deeply excavates the origin,evolution and development of the Paifang culture.Historical facts such as the size and location of the street have not changed significantly,and the cultural characteristics of Memorial Arch Street and the value advantage of the block formed by the space on both sides of the street are sorted out.In the second part,scientific and effective value evaluation is the necessary premise and foundation for the protection and renewal of urban heritage.For this reason,the article uses the "Delphi method" and "ANP" by borrowing relevant theoretical knowledge such as evaluation,combined with the results of the cultural source exploration of Memorial Arch Street.The "Network Analytic Hierarchy Process" mathematical model,from the three value dimensions of Memorial Arch Street’s inherent value,current value and external value,conducts a comprehensive value evaluation of the street’s history,current situation and future development.According to the evaluation scores,a comparative study of the advantages and disadvantages is carried out,and the five main contradictions in the multiple values of Memorial Arch Street are analyzed,so as to present five key issues of street space.The third part,based on the five key issues of the street space of Memorial Arch Street,constructs a model of remodeling the value of Memorial Arch Street,and discriminately treats the short-board value and advantageous value of the street space,and inherits it with sublation.This paper proposes a protection and renewal strategy based on "value remodeling" from five aspects: condensing cultural value,stimulating commercial value,exploring folk value,protecting architectural value,and continuing emotional value.In addition,the innovation of the article is mainly reflected in two aspects.First,this research innovatively focuses on Memorial Arch Street,takes cultural research as a breakthrough,and from the perspective of research value,systematically sorts out,analyzes and summarizes the evolution process of Memorial Arch Street’s historical spatial form and its value components.The second is to innovatively use mathematical models such as Analytic Network Hierarchy（ANP）to break through the previous research perspective of urban cultural heritage protection,re-examine the problems existing in the protection and renewal of Memorial Arch Street from the perspective of value,and discuss the protection of "value remodeling" The update method is expected to provide reference and reference for the future protection and renewal of Memorial Arch Street and even Chaozhou Ancient City.
