The pace of urbanization in large and medium-sized cities in northwest China has been accelerated. However, with the development of the city and the gradual deterioration of the ecological environment, the problems brought by this planting mode are also highlighted.Firstly, this mode cannot give full play to the ecological benefits of groundcover plants, and with the gradual improvement of people’s life quality, the monotonous landscape effect of groundcover plants cannot meet people’s demand for the beauty of landscape of groundcover plants. In consideration of status quo of urban construction and ecological environment demand, people put forward the concept of habitat construction, and in the northwest region of the theory and practice system indepth research, habitat build mode by plant communities can be accepted by the masses, understand people’s evaluation to the true, explore the public more preference for plant community fabric pattern has gradually become the research focus.Taking the groundcover plant community in the south gate garden of xi ’an university of architecture and technology as the main research object, combining the landscape of the groundcover plant community in the greenway of fengxi new town center and referring to the theories of community ecology, aesthetics and psychology, this paper first investigated and analyzed the groundcover plant community under the model of habitat construction, then selected and determined the indexes of landscape evaluation of the groundcover plant community under the model of habitat construction through literature review and behavior annotation, and finally made a systematic evaluation of the groundcover plant community with the analytic hierarchy process(ahp)and landscape evaluation method and proposed further optimization strategies based on the results.Screening established 11 representative habitat evaluation indicators of ground cover plants, namely species diversity, interspecific symbiosis, proportion of native plants, plant community color, plant community morphology and texture, community level richness,Seasonal changes, attractiveness, curativeness, emotional familiarity and popular science education. The evaluation model of ground cover plant under the habitat construction model was established: A=0.4577X+0.4160Y+0.1263 Z,A of the ground cover plant community under the habitat construction model is equal to the psychological factor X,the aesthetic factor Y and the ecological factor Z and each. The accumulation of partial weight products. In the evaluation of the beauty degree, the characteristics of the popular landscape of the community are analyzed: there are excellent inter-species symbiosis and species diversity, and more than 4 species are suitable;the proportion of native plants is reasonable and there is good resistance.Interference ability;the three hue of the main body of the ground cover is adjacent to the same hue,and the average color saturation is >40;the morphology and texture of the community are dominated by coarseness;the three layers of the vertical structure are the best, except for the ground cover.Outside the layer, the two layers above it should be opened at a height, and the vertical distance between the upper layer and the lower layer is preferably between 25-40cm;the seasons are rich in changes throughout the year;the science, attraction, and cure are achieved.Higher level.Comparing the results of the analytic hierarchy process with the beauty degree evaluation method,it is found that the consistency is high. Finally, the landscape evaluation factors of the ground cover plant community under the habitat construction model were transformed into design factors, and the design optimization strategy of the ground cover plant community was proposed.
