Abstract/Summary:
Agriculture plays an important role in the process of economic development in China.The green development of agriculture is the only way to achieve sustainable development.Since China implemented the reform and opening policy,the agricultural economy has developed rapidly.During “the 13 th Five-Year Plan” period,China’s agricultural green development has made outstanding achievements,and successfully completed the goal of “one control,two reductions,and three basics”.As the future development direction of agriculture for China and the world,agricultural green development will still be the main direction of China during “the 14 th Five-Year Plan”period.Therefore,evaluating the agricultural green development level and the spatial heterogeneity in China is of great significance to promote the green development of agriculture.The main research contents and conclusions of this study are as follows:First,research on the foundation and status of agricultural green development in China.Based on the relevant national agricultural green development goals,analyzing the status of arable land resources,agricultural water resources,the application of pesticides and fertilizers,and the comprehensive utilization of crop straws.The results show that: In recent years,the rapid decline trend of arable land resources has been effectively controlled,water-saving agriculture has achieved certain positive effect,the application of fertilizers and pesticides has achieved negative growth and the utilization rate has increased,and the comprehensive utilization rate of crop straws has reached the expected goal.Second,comprehensive evaluation of the green development level of agriculture in China.According to the connotation and characteristics of agricultural green development,following the principles of scientific,systematic,representativeness,maneuverability and comparability,16 indicators are selected from four dimensions:social development,economic benefits,resource input,and ecological environment to construct an evaluation index system.Using an improved weight method to comprehensively evaluate the level of agricultural green development with panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2007 to 2018.The results show that: From 2007 to 2018,the overall level of agricultural green development shows a fluctuating upward trend in China,and there are differences among provinces.The level of agricultural green development in the three major regions presents the characteristics of Eastern > Central >Western.Third,research on the spatial heterogeneity of agricultural green development and its influencing factors in China.Firstly,this paper made an exploratory spatial data analysis from two aspects of global autocorrelation and local correlation.Then,the four variables of urbanization level,agricultural mechanization level,scientific and technological R&D investment,and arable area were selected as influencing factors to explore the impact of each variable on agricultural green development level and its spatial spillover effect in China.The results show that:(1)The level of agricultural green development in China has significant spatial agglomeration characteristics.(2)From the national perspective,the urbanization level,agricultural mechanization level,and scientific and technological R&D investment have a significant positive effect on the level of agricultural green development,while the arable area has a significant negative effect on it.(3)From the regional perspective,the urbanization level is the key factor affecting the level of agricultural green development in the eastern and central areas,and the arable area is the key factor in the western area,and all are the negative effects.Agricultural mechanization level and scientific and technological R&D investment have significant spatial spillover effects on the green development of agriculture in the eastern and central areas,and the urbanization level has a significant spatial spillover effect on the western area.Based on the above research conclusions,the main countermeasures and suggestions for promoting agricultural green development are put forward as follows:(1)Strengthen the protection and efficient utilization of water and arable land resources;(2)Improve the agricultural production environment;(3)Strengthen the comprehensive utilization of crop straw;(4)Accelerate the development of new urbanization;(5)Improve the level of agricultural mechanization operations;(6)Increase investment in scientific and technological research and development in agriculture.
