Effects Of Poria Cocos Polysaccharide On Growth Performance,Apparent Nutrient Digestibility,Serum Biochemical And Immune Indexes Of Piglets

The experiment aims to study the effect of Poria cocos polysaccharide on the growth,apparent nutrient digestibility,serum biochemical and immune indexes of piglets,so that to improve the growth performance of piglets and maintain their health.In the trial,a total of 120 healthy 28-day-old weaned piglets of Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire hybrids with an average weight of 7.4 kg（S.D.= 0.2 kg）,were randomly divided into 4 groups,with 3 replicates in each group and 10 piglets in each replicate.They were divided into 1 control group and 3 experimental groups.The control group was fed with basal diet,and the experimental groups was fed with basal diet,supplemented with 0.05%（low dose group）,0.1%（medium dose group）and 0.2%（high dose group）of Poria cocos polysaccharide respectively.The pre-trial period was 7 days and the trial period was 40 days.The effects of Poria cocos polysaccharide on growth performance,apparent nutrient digestibility,serum biochemical and immune indexes of piglets were studied.The test results are as follows:1.Effects of Poria cocos polysaccharide on growth performance of PigletsAdding a certain amount of Poria cocos polysaccharide to the diet can improve the average daily gain and average daily feed intake of piglets,and reduce the feed conversion ratio and diarrhea rate of piglets.The average daily gain and average daily feed intake of low dose group,medium dose group and high dose group were significantly higher than those of the control group by 13.49%（P < 0.05）,25.50%（P< 0.05）,22.26%（P < 0.05）and 8.90%（P < 0.05）,10.92%（P < 0.05）,12.77%（P < 0.05）,respectively;The feed conversion ratio and diarrhea rate decreased by 4.04%（P > 0.05）,11.62%（P < 0.05）,7.07%（P < 0.05）and 19.86%（P < 0.05）,38.80%（P < 0.05）35.79%（P < 0.05）,respectively.In this experiment,when the amount of Poria cocos polysaccharide was 0.1%,it had the best effect on the growth performance of piglets.2.Effects of Poria cocos polysaccharide on apparent nutrient digestibility of pigletsAdding a certain amount of Poria cocos polysaccharide to the diet of piglets can improve the apparent digestibility of crude protein,crude ash,phosphorus,and increase the number of beneficial bacteria Lactobacillus in jejunum,ileum and cecum,and reduce the number of Escherichia coli and Salmonella.In this experiment,when the amount of Poria cocos polysaccharide was 0.1%,it had the best effect on improving the apparent nutrient digestibility and promoting the proliferation of beneficial bacteria in the intestine of piglets.3.Effects of Poria cocos polysaccharide on serum biochemical and immune indexes of pigletsIn the determination of serum biochemical and immune indexes,adding a certain amount of Poria cocos polysaccharide can improve the serum immune indexes,growth hormone,urea nitrogen,catalase,total antioxidant capacity and the content of glutathione peroxidase,and reduce the content of serum alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,triiodothyronine and thyroxine.In this experiment,when the amount of Poria cocos polysaccharide was 0.1%,the serum biochemical and immune indexes of piglets were the best.In conclusion,under the experimental conditions,Poria cocos polysaccharide can promote the growth performance of piglets,improve the apparent digestibility of nutrients of piglets,promote the proliferation of beneficial bacteria in intestinal tract and improve the serum immune index of piglets.The effect is the best when the addition amount of Poria cocos polysaccharide is 0.1%.
