At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China,with the continuous deepening of Western learning,a large number of Western thoughts were introduced into China.Under the fierce impact of Western culture,Chinese traditional culture was severely affected,especially traditional medicine.The new medical theories in the West and the government’s restrictions on exclusion Under the dual pressures of her,her status is precarious.For the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese medicine,the Chinese medicine community has launched a self-help movement,and many traditional Chinese medicine journal editorial departments have been established one after another,and the "Mainland Chinese Medicine Monthly" is one of them.The journal was founded by Yang Yiya in the 26 th year of the Republic of China(1937).In July of the same year,it was forced to stop publication due to the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War,traffic inconvenience,lack of newspapers and other factors.It was reopened in September of the 27 th year of the Republic of China(1938).Publication was officially suspended in the thirty-seventh year of the Republic of China(1948),which lasted 11 years and issued a total of 74 issues."Monthly of Traditional Chinese Medicine Mainstay Monthly" was founded when TCM doctors were in trouble.From the day of its publication,it has been committed to perseverance,aiming to exchange experience in traditional Chinese medicine and popularize medical knowledge among the general public.The main body of this article is composed of three parts.The first part is an overview of the "Mainland Chinese Medicine Monthly".1.Combining with the dynamic development history of traditional Chinese medicine during the Republic of China,explore the background of the publication of "Mainland Chinese Medicine Monthly" and understand its history.2.Deeply excavate the life of the founder Yang Yiya and analyze his contribution to the "Mainland Chinese Medicine Monthly" and even traditional medicine.3.Analyze the column design,explore the general trend of journal publication,summarize the main contributors of the journal,explore their background,and understand the main social relationships behind the "Monthly Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine".4.Analyze the changes in the format,combined with the political,economic,and cultural backgrounds at that time,and explore the difficulties encountered in the publication process of the periodical.The second part is based on the "Monthly Bulletin of Traditional Chinese Medicine".The content of the journal is divided into eight categories: critical review research,classic masterpiece research,traditional Chinese medicine research,prescription research,acupuncture research,health maintenance knowledge,clinical research,shortcomings of traditional Chinese medicine and reforms,Its clinical research is divided into four categories: internal,external,women,and children.Analyze the content of these articles,understand the physical condition of the masses at that time and explore the thoughts of traditional Chinese medicine during the Republic of China.The third part summarizes the characteristics and value of the journal through the overall analysis of the journal.Features: In the content of the publication,follow the pulse of the times,and create a special account in a timely manner;in the design of the column,there are many types,reflecting the flexibility of content layout;in the issue of people’s livelihood,it pays attention to public medical and health;in the content of the publication,Mostly popularize the culture of Chinese medicine.Value: "The Mainstay of Traditional Chinese Medicine Monthly" is not only a platform for academic exchanges between medical experts,but also a platform for public opinion in disputes between Chinese and Western medicine.As an academic exchange platform for doctors.The journal contains a large number of articles on disease research during the Republic of China,which has valuable guiding value for modern clinical diagnosis and treatment.In addition,many simple,convenient,and cheap folk prescriptions are included in the prescription column,which demonstrates its practicality;as a platform for public opinion,the journal publishes many articles that oppose the government’s policy of suppressing the development of Chinese medicine.
