| Introduction:To investigate whether old age, female, hypertension,BMI,Whether the patient has a previous thyroid related disease, whether any of the patient’s relatives have thyroid related disease, the amount of alcohol,The amount of smoking, and many other factors will have an impact on the incidence of thyroid nodules in Yueyang. The above results can provide guidance and theoretical basis for the treatment and diagnosis of thyroid nodule in Yueyang area. Methods:Randomized people who underwent physical examination in a third-class A hospital were selected as the investigation objects. The investigation period was from January 2019 to April 2020,and the age was over 18 years old and less than 95 years old.Exclusion was conducted according to the investigation criteria.Statistical methods were used to explore the incidence of thyroid nodule in Yueyang area and various factors related to thyroid nodule disease.Results:1.In Yueyang Second People’s Hospital, there were 5,803 patients with thyroid nodules among 15,000 physical examination subjects, and the overall prevalence of thyroid nodules was 38.7%.Among them, there were 1,992 males(31.0%)and 3,812 females(44.5%).2.Chi-square test results showed that the occurrence of thyroid nodules could be caused by body mass index, elevated blood pressure, elevated blood glucose, the patient’s previous thyroid disease, the patient’s relatives with thyroid related diseases, female, and advanced age,etc.3.The affected sites of thyroid nodules are from low to high: left lobe, right lobe and bilateral lobe.Bilateral thyroid nodules accounted for the highest proportion of 45.4%(2634/5804),and the incidence of thyroid nodules in the thyroid isthmus was the lowest, only 0.5%(27/5804).4.According to the results of color ultrasound, multiple thyroid nodules occupy a relatively high proportion.Bilateral incidence of single thyroid nodule is relatively high, and the isthmus has a low morbidity. For patients with multiple thyroid nodules, bilateral multiple nodules are presented under most conditions.5.The prevalence of TI-RADS grade 2 was 16.4%(2460/15000),TI-RADS grade 3 was 20.9%(3132/15000),TI-RADS grade 4A was1.23%(184/15000),TI-RADS grade 4B was 0.15%(22/15000),TI-RADS grade 4C and TI-RADS grade 5 were 0.02%(3/15000).6.Multivariate logistic regression analysis of thyroid nodules showed that age(OR=1.004,P=0.028),BMI(OR=1.36,P=0.000),blood sugar level(OR=2.933,P=0.000),gender(OR=1.969,P=0.039)and blood pressure(OR=2.271,P=0.000)were independent risk factors. Conclusion:Statistics show that the prevalence of thyroid nodules in15,000 subjects is 38.7%.Thyroid nodules are more common in women, and the site of this disease usually appeared on both sides. In addition, factors such as advanced age, overweight and gender have important effects on whether an individual develops the disease.Generally speaking,we combined ultrasound examination with TI-RADS typing method to make the most basic judgment on thyroid diseases, thus providing more sufficient guiding evidence for the diagnosis of this disease. |
