| Objective:The clinical efficacy of the combination treatment of acupuncture and Qi Chai decoction in treating allergic rhinitis is studied, which can provide sufficient evidence for promoting clinical application. Methods:A total of 153 patients with allergic rhinitis were selected and randomly divided into 3 groups with 51 cases in each group(excluding dropouts and discontinuations,144 cases were finally included,48 cases/group).The treatment group was treated with acupuncture(three needles of the nose+Feishu,Pishu,Qihai,Zusanli,Ganshu,Taichong)and oral Qichai decoction. The Chinese medicine group and the acupuncture group were treated with oral Qichai decoction and acupuncture treatment respectively for 4 courses of treatment, and each course is one week.By using SPSS20.0,the clinical efficacy, total nasal symptom score(TNSS),TCM scale score, nasal conjunctivitis living scale(RQLQ)and the incidence rate of side effects of these three groups were analyzed before and after treatment.Results:(1)After treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group is higher than that of the traditional Chinese medicine group(91.7%>77.1%)and the acupuncture group(91.7%>70.8%).The three groups have obvious differences in efficacy, which have statistically significant(rank sum test:?~2=11.965 P=0.003<0.05).(2)The scores of the evaluation scales of the three groups showed a downward trend after treatment. There was a obvious difference in the score comparison of the three periods including before treatment,four-week treatment and ten-week treatment(P<0.05),and the three groups are effective; After four weeks of treatment, there were significant differences among the three groups(P<0.05),and the treatment group had better curative effect than the other two groups; After ten weeks of treatment, the difference between the three groups was still statistically significant(P<0.05).The treatment group had better efficacy, and other two groups had similar curative effect, and the difference was not significant(P>0.05).TNSS statistical analysis results show that the treatment group is better in improving nasal symptoms such as nasal congestion, nasal itching and sneezing;Through the statistical analysis of RQLQ and TCM scale,it is concluded that the treatment group is better in improving the quality of life such as sleep quality, daily activities and emotional response,as well as improving TCM syndromes.(3)During the treatment period, the treatment group had an adverse reaction rate of 4.2%(2/48),including 1 case of dizziness and 1 case of gastrointestinal discomfort; In the acupuncture group, there were 2 cases of stuck needles and 2 cases of hematoma, which was 8.3%(4/48);In the traditional Chinese medicine group, the rate was 6.3%(3/48).There were 3cases of gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.Through timely symptomatic treatment, the above-mentioned adverse reactions were improved. Conclusion:Through comparative analysis,it is concluded that the combination treatment of acupuncture and Qichai decoction, only oral Qichai decoction, and only acupuncture in treating to allergic rhinitis with lung-spleen qi deficiency and liver depression and qi stagnation, their quality of life and nasal symptoms can be improved, but the therapeutic effect of combination treatment of acupuncture and Qichai decoction is better than that of acupuncture and Chinese medicine respectively, and it has a certain clinical effect, which provides clinical safety and feasibility basis. |
