ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effects of abdominal acupuncture of Lingnan flying needle therapy for constipation after storke.MethodsA tolal of 70 constipation after storke cases in the department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and Rehabilitation of Guangdong Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2020 to January 2021 were randomly allocated into treatment group(35 cases)and control group(35 cases).the control was treated with conventional body acupuncture,while the treatment group was treated with abdominal acupuncture of Lingnan flying needle therapy.Meanwhile,both two groups of patients were treated with basic drug and basic rehabilitation training.Before and after for a total of 4 weeks of treatment,the scores of constipation clinical symptoms,PAC-QOL scale and Modified Barthel Index score(MBI)were observed.In the same time,the clinical efficacy and safety in the two groups were also evaluated.Results1.The abdominal acupuncture group and the conventional body acupuncturee group had no statistical differences in terms of gender,stroke type,age,course of disease the scores of constipation clinical symptoms,PAC-QOL scale,The Modified Barthel Index scores(P>0.05),which proved the general information of the three groups of patients Comparable.2.The scores of constipation clinical symptoms:Both two groups after four we-eks of treatment,the gross scores of constipation primary symptoms,accompanied s ymptoms and item symptoms of primary symptoms were lower than that befor-e t reatment significantly(P<0.01).After treatment,compared with the conventional b-o dy acupuncturee group,there were significant differences in the speed of defec-atio n,stool form and the difficulty of defecation and the awareness of defecation(P<0.01).Meanwhile,difference value above all had statistical difference(P<0.01).By the comparision of defecation interval time,the abdominal acupuncture group had no st atistics difference with the conventional body acupuncturee group(P>0.05),but the difference value of defecation interval time had statistical difference(P<0.01).3.PAC-QOL scale:After trealment,the scores of PAC-QOL scale in the two groups were lower after treatment(P<0.01).Moreover,there was significant difference in PAC-QOL score between the abdominal acupuncture group and the convention al body acupuncture group(P<0.01).4.The Modified Barthel Index scores(MBI):The MBI scores were higher in th-e two groups after treatment.what’s more,there was a significant difference bet-w een the abdominal acupuncture group and the conventional body acupuncture group(P<0.05),indicating that both groups can improve patients’ activities of dail-y living and the abdominal acupuncture group is better than the conventional bod-y acupuncture group.5.One and two cases fell off in the abdominal acupuncture group and control group respectively during the treatment,and a total of 67 patients finally completed the study.The markedly effective rate and the total effective rate of the abdominal acupuncture group were 41.18%(14/34),94.12%(32/34)respectively,and those of the conventional body acupuncturee group were 12.12%(4/33),75.76%(25/33)respectively.the abdominal acupuncture group had higher markedly effective rate and the total effective rate as well as stronger overall efficacy than the conventional body acupuncturee group,the differences being statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion1.According to the scores of constipation clinical symptoms,the abdominal acupuncture of Lingnan flying needle therapy had a better effect on improving the clinical symptoms of constipation after stroke of qi deficiency type,and it has a bettercurative effect than conventional acupuncture.2.After treatment,the improvement ofthe speed of defecation,the awareness of defecation,stool form and the difficulty of defecation in the abdominal acupuncture group was better than that in the conventional body acupuncture group,with statistical significance(P<0.01).By the comparision of defecation interval time,the abdominal acupuncture group had no statistical difference with the conventional body acupuncturee group(P>0.05).3.When it comes to the evaluation of Modified Barthel Index scores before and after treatment,both groups can improve patients’ activities of daily living and the abdominal acupuncture group is better than conventional body acupuncture group.
