Objective: Patients with scalp psoriasis(blood dryness syndrome)were treated with rubbing method of Chinese medicine calcipotriol liniment respectively.Through comparative observation, the clinical efficacy and safety of different methods were analyzed after 4 weeks of treatment to provide a safe and effective therapeutic regimen for clinical treatment of scalp psoriasis(blood dryness syndrome). Methods: Sixty patients with scalp psoriasis(blood dryness syndrome)that met the criteria were selected. And they were divided into treatment group and control group according to the table of random digit. Then, patients in treatment group were treated with traditional Chinese medicine(the licorice oil made by our department was used in this research)on the cephalic rash, and those in control group were applied with calcipotriol liniment. Both groups of patients were treated with yangxuejiedu decoction,a traditional Chinese medicine decoction. After a course of treatment(4 weeks),changes in conditions of patients were observed. Finally, statistical methods were used to scientifically compare the different therapies according to the results. Results: 1.After treating for a course, the S-m PASI of the two groups were significantly improved(P < 0.05),but there was no obvious difference in efficacy and efficiency between the two groups(P > 0.05).2.After the treatment, the pruritus degree of head rash in the two groups was significantly ameliorated(P < 0.05).And the treatment group was better than the control group in relieving pruritus(P < 0.05).3.During the treatment, there was no obvious adverse reaction in the patients of treatment group, whereas there were 6 cases of adverse reaction in the control group after external use of carbotrianol liniment. The difference was significant(P < 0.05)by Fisher’s accurate test.It shows that the incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group is lower than that in the control group. Conclusion: The effect of traditional Chinese medicine on the improvement of psoriasis rash(blood dryness syndrome)is similar to that of carbotriol liniment. However,in the improvement of pruritus, the efficacy of external use of traditional Chinese Medicine is better than that of carbotriol linimen. And importantly,it is safer than carbotriol liniment.
