Objective To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with L-carnitine oral liquid on patients with asthenospermia due to deficiency of kidney yang.MethodsAccording to the research requirements,70 patients with asthenospermia due to kidney-yang deficiency were selected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 35 people in each group. The control group was given L-carnitine oral liquid, which was taken with meals in the morning and evening. The treatment group was treated with acupuncture on the basis of the control group. After full breath, the needle was kept for 20 minutes, and the needle was administered once in the middle, twice a week. After 12 weeks of treatment, the changes of semen volume, sperm concentration, percentage of forward moving sperm(PR),total sperm motility(PR+NP),seminal plasma zinc, seminal plasma neutral-α glucosidase, seminal fructose and TCM syndrome integral were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results(1)Total effective rate: After 12 weeks of continuous treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 91.43%;The total effective rate of the control group was71.42%,and the overall curative effect of the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)TCM syndrome integral: the TCM syndrome integral of the two groups after treatment is lower than that before treatment(P<0.05),but the symptoms of the treatment group are improved more obviously than those of the control group(P<0.01),and the effective rates of the treatment group and the control group are 88.57% and65.71% respectively, and the treatment group is superior to the control group in significant efficiency.(3)Semen quality: After treatment,PR+NP and PR in semen of the two groups were higher than before(P<0.01),and PR+NP and PR in the treatment group were more significantly higher(P<0.01).After treatment, the semen volume and sperm concentration of the two groups increased compared with those before treatment, but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).(4)Seminal plasma biochemistry: After treatment, the levels of zinc,neutral-α-glucosidase and fructose in seminal plasma of the two groups were improved(P<0.01),especially in the treatment group(P<0.01).ConclusionAcupuncture combined with L-carnitine oral liquid has obvious clinical efficacy in treating asthenospermia due to kidney-yang deficiency.Compared with the control group,it can better improve the percentage of sperm moving forward, the total motility of sperm, the levels of seminal plasma zinc, seminal plasma neutral-α glucosidase and seminal fructose, and improve the clinical symptoms of kidney-yang deficiency.
