Study On The Chemical Constituents Of Illicium Verum Hook.f.

In this paper,the chemical constituents of Illicium verum Hook.f.,a medicinal plant,were studied,and a total of 28 compounds were obtained by comprehensively using various chromatographic separation and purification techniques.Illicium verum belongs to the family Magnoliaceae,also known “dahuixiang”,“bajiaoxiang”,“bajiaodahui”,“bajiao”,“daliao”,“wuxiangbajiao”,etc.Illicium verum grows mainly in Fujian,Taiwan,Guangxi,Guangdong,Guizhou,Yunnan and other places.Its octagonal fruit has the effects of dispelling cold,regulating qi,and relieving pain.Modern pharmacological studies have shown that it has antibacterial,anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory activities.Therefore,in order to further study the medicinal material basis of Illicium verum and obtain more active natural products with development potential,this thesis conducted a systematic chemical composition study on Illicium verum fruits.Comprehensive use of a variety of column chromatography separation and purification methods,a total of 28 compounds have been separated from the 95%ethanol extract of Illicium verum fruits.These compounds were determined by using spectroscopic and chemical methods as follows: 2α,4α,5β-4,5-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-(E)-4-methoxystyryl)-6α-methyl-1,3-dioxane(BJ-1),(2α,3β)-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-4-oxopentan-2-yl 4-methoxybenzoate(BJ-2),anisic acid(BJ-3),4-hydroxy-3-(3-methyl-2-buten-1-yl)-benzaldehyde(BJ-4),(3α,4β)-8-methoxy-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3-methyl-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one(BJ-5),(R)-8’-(1-methylcyclohex-1-en-4-yl)propan-8’-yl(E)-7-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)acrylate(BJ-6),(7α,8α)-7-acetoxy-7-(4-methoxyphenyl)propan-8-yl 4-methoxybenzoate(BJ-7),(8α,9β)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-8,9-methyl-9-methoxybenzoate(BJ-8),(1R,2R)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)propane-1,2-diol(BJ-9),(1S,2R)-1-ethoxy-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)propan-2-ol(BJ-10),verimol G(BJ-11),anemonenorin A(BJ-12),(7S,8S)-7-(4-((3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)oxy)phenyl)propane-7,8-diol(BJ-13),(7R,8R)-7-(4-((3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)oxy)phenyl)propane-7,8-diol(BJ-14),verimol O(BJ-15),verimol P(BJ-16),verimol Q(BJ-17),verimol R(BJ-18),verimol S(BJ-19),(R)-2-(4-methylcyclohex-3-en-1-yl)propan-2-yl(E)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acrylate(BJ-20),(-)-bornyl p-coumarate(BJ-21),(+)-bornyl p-coumarate(BJ-22),verimol A(BJ-23),(7’S)-parabenzlactone(BJ-24),3-methylbut-2-enyl-4-hydroxybenzoate(BJ-25),dibutylphthalate(BJ-26),(E)-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)acrylaldehyde(BJ-27)and verimol D(BJ-28).Among them,BJ-1,BJ-5～8 and BJ-13～19 are new compounds.At the same time,some compounds have been tested for cytotoxic and antiviral activities.The results showed that compounds BJ-5,BJ-20,BJ-21 and BJ-27 have certain activity on tumor cells(K562,HL-60),and compounds BJ-1,BJ-5～8,BJ-12,BJ-15,BJ-20 and BJ-21 have certain activity against RSV.
