Judging from the development of international Chinese education in recent years,although there have been more significant results in Chinese language teaching.But at the same time,the practicality of the teaching guide has become more prominent,so at this stage,there remain obvious faults on the teaching of Chinese classical culture which seemingly looks not very practical.Therefore,this article attempts to focus on Chinese classical poetry which is comparatively representative from ancient Chinese literature,discussing the necessity and feasibility of teaching Chinese classical poetry on the advanced stage of international Chinese education.This paper is divided into four parts,the first part of this article mainly talks about the origin of the topic,the scope of research,and the review of studies;.The second part we’ll try to explore the historical origin of classical poetry teaching by tracing back to situation of international exchange in two special historical periods.The third section looks at the current situation of classical poem teaching,expanding from four aspects including students,schools and teachers,syllabus and textbooks.The fourth part focuses on the methods in teaching Chinese classical poetry,mainly at three aspects of before,at and after class to have specific discussion.
