Although industrialization has accelerated the development of the world economy,it has also caused much damage to the natural environment,leading to global climate change and affecting the global ecological environment severely.Therefore,increasing efforts have been made to explore solutions to climate problems.Paris to Pittsburgh,a documentary from National Geographic,tells how the U.S.deals with global climate change by taking advantage of wind energy,solar energy and other resources,which exerts a positive effect on China’s ecological environment protection.Based on the E-C documentary interpretation practice and under the Interpretive theory,this report explores in depth the strategies and methods of documentary interpretation with the features of authenticity,conciseness and colloquialization.This report is divided into four parts.The first part is about the task description,including the introduction to the source,features and significance of the text.The second part tells the interpretation process,focusing on the background knowledge and theoretical preparation.The third part explores how to deal with "it"-patterns,long and difficult sentences,new expressions,and misinterpretation in interpretation through case analysis,and summarizes corespondent strategies and methods.And the fourth part is the conclusion of the interpretation practice.The interpreter gets three inspirations from this interpretation practice:(1)Background knowledge is as important as the training of interpretation skills;(2)Note-taking plays an important role in the interpretation process;(3)Interpretation requires the interpreter to have great concentration and calmness in the face of emergencies.
