A Report On The Interpretation Of The 9^th International Youth Summit On Energy Climate Change

From July 10^thto 12^th,the 9^thInternational Youth Summit on Energy&Climate Change was held in Tianjin University.The author worked as the simultaneous interpreter for several lectures at the summit.The majority of translation was from Chinese to English.The task was assigned by the organizer�China Youth Climate Action Network?CYCAN?.This report is based on the author's experience as the simultaneous interpreter for this summit.This report consists of four chapters.In the first chapter,the author briefly introduces the task.In the second chapter,there is a detailed description of the whole course of the task.In the third chapter,the author gives a brief introduction of the Interpretive Theory of Translation and makes an analysis on how this theory guided the author to successfully fulfill the interpretation task with examples.In the fourth chapter,the author makes a review on the completion of the task,including gains and deficiencies.Having done some literature studying,the author chooses appropriate examples to demonstrate that the Interpretive Theory of Translation can be used as guidance for interpretation.Difficulties and coping methods are also summarized in this report.All the materials in this report are extracted from actual working scene.This report is expected to provide experience and guidance on the interpretation of lectures for other interpretation learners.
