An Analysis Of The Creation Of Character Documentaries

In the creation of documentaries,character documentaries always occupy an important position.Combined with the author’s graduation work DJ quiet,this thesis researches and discusses the creation of character documentaries,including three aspects: 1.The selection of shooting objects in the creation of character documentaries,and the discussion on how to find the documentary value of characters,the generality and individuality of characters and the stories of characters;2.Ii.The narrative strategy of character documentary creation is elaborated,which is mainly studied from three aspects: the setting of suspense,the extraction of contradictions and conflicts,and the construction of story chain.Iii.Analyze the use of audio-visual language in character documentaries,including scene and composition,color and light,commentary and interview,etc.,and analyze how to show character character and highlight theme through audio-visual language.
