Abstract/Summary:
With the vigorous development of primary school English education,people are increasingly concerned about the quality of primary school English education.The emergence of modern experiential teaching methods has enriched the theory of foreign language teaching to a large extent.Since the introduction of the experiential teaching method in my country,researchers and scholars have mostly applied this method to colleges and universities,but there is very little research on basic education.However,with the continuous development,reform and improvement of the new curriculum reform in our country in the past ten years,it is vital for students to obtain positive emotional experience when learning languages.Carrying out primary school English teaching under the concept of experiential teaching can enable students to feel the charm of English communication in experiential activities and cultivate comprehensive language communication skills.This research is based on constructivist learning theory,situational learning theory and humanistic theory,and is expected to verify the following experimental hypotheses through experimental research:(1)The application of experiential teaching method to primary school English listening and speaking teaching can improve teachers’ teaching Ability;(2)Applying experiential teaching method to primary school English listening and speaking teaching can create a positive classroom atmosphere;(3)Applying experiential teaching method to primary school English listening and speaking teaching can enhance students’ interest in learning and change their English learning attitude.This research is based on experimental methods,supplemented by questionnaire surveys,interviews,and classroom observations.A total of 50 students in the fourth grade class of a primary school in Hangzhou were selected for a two-month teaching experiment.The cooperating teachers of the experimental class based on the author The design of the teaching plan adopts the experiential teaching method in the class to study the influence of the experiential teaching method on primary school English listening and speaking.The experimental results show that: 1)the application of experiential teaching method in primary school English listening and speaking teaching improves teachers’ teaching ability and a deeper understanding of self-reflection;2)the application of experiential teaching method in primary school English listening and speaking teaching creates A more lively and active classroom atmosphere;3)The experiential teaching method is applied to primary school English listening and speaking teaching to enhance students’ interest in learning.Therefore,applying the experiential teaching method to the primary school English listening and speaking teaching not only helps to create a positive classroom atmosphere,but also stimulates students’ motivation and interest in English learning.This research also puts forward specific and feasible suggestions for the problems and shortcomings in the application of experiential teaching method in primary school English listening and speaking teaching,that is,experiential teaching method should deal with the relationship with traditional teaching;experiential teaching method in the application process The relationship between teachers and students needs to be handled well.Teachers will be transferred from the original "ruler" type of teacher to the role of "organizer" and "guide".In a real sense,students can gain the initiative of classroom learning and build a unified This is a teaching mode that can effectively improve pupils’ awareness of listening and speaking.
