Abstract/Summary:
The Warring States period is an important period in the history of Chinese characters.With the development of society and economy,the demand for characters is increasing rapidly,which makes a large number of new characters appear.Improvements in writing tools and materials have led to changes in glyphs and fonts.The long period of vassal division makes the regional characteristics of characters more and more obvious.During the warring states period,the state of chu have formed a cultural system that is different from that of other regions,and it also shows prominent local characteristics in writing.The phenomenon of different sounds and different characters in the Warring States period is common,which is different from the standard script of the qin dynasty.it makes a large number of heterotypic characters.This paper selects the words from Baoshan Chu-tomb bamboo slips and seal characters of Shuo wen jie zi to make a comparative study,find out the corresponding variant characters,conduct research on the glyphs,meanings and sounds,explore the types and forms of heterotypic characters,the characteristics of heterotypic characters,and analyze the internal and external causes of heterotypic characters.
