| Aa ceramic master,Tang Ying was active on the historical stage of the Qing Dynasty,but he,as a poet in the history of Qing poetry has not been fully recognized and explored by researchers.During his tenure in Jiujiang,Tang Ying devoted himself to literary creation after political affairs,leaving a large number of poems handed down from generation to generation.At the same time,he was affectionate with the mountains and rivers,answering each other with poems by widely making friends with local scholars and celebrities,and frequently organizing poem response activities.This period is the peak and mature period of his creation.Through the analysis of the poetry response activities organized by Tang Ying at this stage,it can help us to have a more full and comprehensive understanding of him as a poet.This paper consists of three chapters besides the introduction.The first chapter takes the famous pipa pavilion in Jiujiang as the starting point.This study finds that while rebuilding the pipa pavilion which is of historical and cultural significance,Tang Ying connects himself with Bai Juyi,a celebrity of the Tang Dynasty,and at the same time strengthens the communication between himself and the local literati,establishing a group of poets who left their hometown for better development in career with him as the core through understanding his experience of rebuilding the pipa pavilion and interpreting the collection of poems compiled by him,.This group frequently carried out poetry response activities at the Pipa Pavilion,which awakened and continued the development of the theme of Pipa Pavilion poetry in the Qing Dynasty.And they also participated in the local cultural construction.On this basis,the author summarizes Tang Ying’s position in the literary world of Jiujiang and his contribution to the culture of Jiujiang.At the same time,the author finds that the academic research on Tang Ying’s manuscripts is not comprehensive at present.Therefore,the author has carried on the exploration in two aspects by taking Tang Ying manuscript as the core.First,collating and summing-up the contents of his manuscripts so as to understand the real state of Tang Ying’s life and enrich his understanding of his character.Second,this paper finds and sorts out more than a dozen deleted poems,and then analyzes the contents of these "forgotten" poems to explore the reasons for being deleted through the comparison of the poems recorded in the manuscripts with his officially published collections of poems.Based on the above analysis,the author aims at exploring the true mentality of Tang Ying when working as a government official in Jiujiang,as well as understanding the poetry creation environment at that time.The third chapter takes Tang Ying’s poetry collection Taoren Xinyu as an example.After reading and analyzing,the author finds that he actually uses Tao Yuanming as the paradigm for poetry creation,which means that his pieces are similar to Tao’s in theme and style.The author also finds that while learning from Tao,he also has his own special features and some shortcomings of simple and straight,easy to understand and so on. |
