China is a multi-ethnic country,inevitably facing various problems of ethnic relations.In recent years,more and more studies have shown that meta-stereotypes play a crucial part in inter-ethnic relations,which affects ethnic communication and interaction.However,the current research focuses on the impact on negative meta-stereotypes on inter-ethnic communication and interaction,and lacks attention on positive meta-stereotypes.Therefore,this study explores the activation of positive meta-stereotypes and their impact on inter-ethnic cooperative behavior from a positive perspective,with a view to providing certain suggestions for building harmonious ethnic relations and maintaining national unity.The specific content of this study is tripartite:Firstly,through pre-study,the content of meta-stereotypes of Dong Middle School Students in the interaction between Dong and Han is clarified;In Study 1,two experiments to investigate the influence of the culture of the Dong Chorus and the positive evaluation of the outside group on the activation of the positive meta-stereotype of middle school students in Dong people;In Study 2,the influence of positive meta-stereotype activation on inter-ethnic cooperation behavior of dong middle school students was investigated by experimental method,then,through the creation of the situation,we investigate the influence of positive meta-stereotype activation on the inter-ethnic cooperative behavior of the Dong and Han middle school students in conflict situations.The results show that:(1)The positive meta-stereotype of Dong middle school students can be activated by the culture of Dong Chorus and the positive evaluation of outside groups;(2)Compared with the control group,activating the positive meta-stereotype of Dong middle school students can promote more inter ethnic cooperative behaviors;(3)In conflict situations,Dong middle school students who did not activate the positive meta-stereotype had less inter ethnic cooperative behavior,while Dong middle school students who have activated the positive meta-stereotype had more inter ethnic cooperative behavior.Based on the above results,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The culture of Dong Chorus and the positive evaluation of outside groups are two important factors that affect the activation of positive meta-stereotype in Dong middle school students;(2)Activating the positive meta-stereotype of Dong middle school students has a positive influence on the inter-ethnic cooperative behavior between Dong and Han ethnic groups and can alleviate the negative influence ofconflict situations to some extent.This study shows that it is of great significance to actively carry forward China excellent traditional culture of ethnic minorities and improve the recognition and acceptance of ethnic minorities by the mainstream groups to build harmonious ethnic relations。... |
