| To investigate middle school students’ family socioeconomic status,(socioeconomic status,SES)on its subjective social status(subjective social status,SSS),and the role of the psychological suzhi,this study adopts the method of the combination of horizontal and vertical survey of middle school students were investigated.The study mainly consists of two parts:(1)study 1 as a cross-sectional study,mainly USES the middle school students mental suzhi scale(simplified version)to measure their psychological suzhi,middle school students’ subjective social status questionnaire measures their perceived social status,and the subjects are family SES evaluation,family SES to middle school students,psychological suzhi and SSS,the static relationship between the middle school students’ psychological suzhi in its family mediation model is set up between SES and SSS.The survey used convenient sampling methods in Chongqing and Guizhou Province to select 5 middle school students from the first grade of junior high school to the third grade of high school as the research object,a total of 3600 questionnaires were distributed,3512 questionnaires were recovered,and 3407 valid questionnaires.(2)study 2 is a longitudinal study,which mainly tracks freshmen in senior high school for half an academic year from a longitudinalperspective to further verify whether the mediating effect of psychological suzhi between SES and SSS is still valid.This survey adopts cluster sampling method to select freshmen from four senior high schools in guizhou,sichuan and Inner Mongolia autonomous region as the tracking subjects,and adopts the same questionnaire as the first study.This study lasted for 3 months,and four tests were conducted on freshmen of grade 2018.In the first test,646 questionnaires were distributed,639 questionnaires were returned and 623 valid questionnaires were issued within 1 week after the freshmen were enrolled.The next 3 tests were carried out in a concentrated test once every 4 weeks.After the processing and analysis of the recovered data,the results of the first study found that :(1)the three variables of SES,psychological suzhi and SSS of middle school students were significantly positively correlated in pairs;(2)the model test of mediating effect was conducted by sampling 5000 times of deviation correction percentile Bootstrap,and it was found that the psychological suzhi of middle school students plays a significant role in mediating the relationship between SES and SSS.The results of study ii further found that :(1)SSS increased linearly in the period of admission,and there were individual differences in the initial level of SSS and the rate of change in the following two stages.(2)SES plays a significant role in predicting the initial level of SSS and thechange trend of the first stage.(3)the psychological suzhi of middle school students has a significant predictive effect on the initial level of SSS and the development and changes of the following two stages;(4)the psychological suzhi of middle school students plays a part in mediating the intercept between SES and SSS,but SES has no significant predictive effect on the two slopes of SSS.The research results show that middle school students with higher family SES have better psychological suzhi and thus have higher SSS.This discovery further deepened the research on the functional value of psychological suzhi,and also promoted the academic circles’ understanding of the relationship between family SES,psychological suzhi and SSS.In addition,based on the results of this study,for the mental health education of middle school students,it should focus on improving their psychological suzhi,helping them form good self-perception and positioning,so as to ensure the healthy development of their body and mind. |
