county,lincang city,yunnan province.It belongs to the southwest rock painting faction and is one of the oldest cliff paintings ever found in China.Itisrich in subj ect matter and content,covering the production,life,religion and other aspects of the painting crowd.It is unique in the content,form and style of the rock paintings discovered in China,and has high historical,scientific and unique aesthetic value.As the cave paintings of research and conservation ushered in the stage of multidisciplinary cross domain,traditional means and methods developed by the authors have been unable to development,public archaeology use countermeasures and Suggestions in the field of cangyuan rock art development and utilization was studied to investigate.In-depth analysis of parsing the cangyuan rock paintings,cultural connotation and current protection and development present situation,and from the above understanding of triggered for cultural heritage protection and development in some dimensions unity of thinking,the introduction of"public archaeology" concept and methodology,andwith the examples of cangyuan rock art in-depth analysis and countermeasures and Suggestions.The main research methods of this paper are relatively diverse.First,the field survey method is used to carry out field investigation on the cangyuan rock paintings,so as to have a full understanding of their current protection,development andutilization.Secondly,the literature research methodis used to assist the analysis offield survey data,extractuseful information,combined with the topic to make further exploration.Finally,thispaperwill draw on the successful experience of domestic and foreign advanced cases through the case study method,and combine it with the specific situation of cangyuan rock paintings,and finally come up with a series of Suggestions on the implementation of targeted and operable measures.The theory and method of cultural heritage protection and public archaeology will run through the whole paper.This paper argues that,under the perspective of cultural heritage protection,the traditional pattern of tourism scenic area development is no longer a best solution of
