Research On The Alcohol-Related Poems In The North And South Dynasty

The poetry-and-alcohol combination is an important phenomenon in Chinese traditional culture.Writing poetry by drinking wine is a kind of common pattern for ancient Chinese poets,because the alcohol can stimulate their emotion.In recent years,the vulgar drinking culture is quite prevailing with an increasing number of people drinking in the well-off society,but unfortunately,the alcohol-related poetry as a kind of highbrow drinking culture is nearly disappearing in people’s memory.As a type of Transitional products from separating to combination of the poetry and the wine,the alcohol-related poems in the North and South dynasty demonstrated a rising position for wine within the poetry,and ultimately laid the foundation of the thriving drinking culture in Tang dynasty.Pointing at the alcohol-related poems in the North and South dynasty,this dissertation interpreted it’s text connotation,explored it’s art imagination and cultural spirits,reappeared it’s generating process.On the basis of above statement,this dissertation consists of four chapters.The first chapter cleared the combining process of the poetry and the wine from the pre-Qin days to the North and South dynasty,and investigated the wine production in the North and South dynasty and literati drinking mentality of that time.With an eye on the emotional substance of the alcohol-related poems in the North and South Dynasty,the second chapter expounded four emotional states of comfort and pleasure,cherishing the life,missing lover or spiritual home,and sorrow at parting.The third chapter investigated the difference and compromise of the alcohol-related poems in the North dynasty and the South dynasty,and explored the artistic features of yuxin’s alcohol-related poetry which is the best example of the poetry-and-wine combination in the period.The last chapter discussed the wine name,drinking vessel,drinking literary quotation and the imagery of qin and ju,which were in the North and South dynasty,and explained their realistic significance for this all poems from the perspective of cultural extension.
