| The concept of action-oriented teaching is "action-oriented,student-centered,competency-based".It advocates students to participate in teaching personally,acquire professional knowledge and skills through action and practice,and cultivate students’ comprehensive professional ability,thus improving their comprehensive professional ability.Influenced by subjective and objective factors,business English majors in secondary vocational schools have problems such as weak English foundation and low interest in learning.Applying action-oriented teaching method to business English teaching in secondary vocational schools can effectively enhance students’ interest in learning,improve teaching efficiency,and has unique teaching advantages.Therefore,it has been popularized and popularized in secondary vocational schools in China and has achieved certain results.Through a certain period of teaching practice,it is found that although secondary vocational business English teachers cooperate with schools to carry out action-oriented teaching reform,they have encountered many problems in the process of practice.For example,teachers’ lack of in-depth understanding of the theory of action-oriented teaching and lack of sufficient practical experience in enterprises have led to the failure of the expected results of the reform of action-oriented teaching.Therefore,this study intends to provide some reference for the teaching reform of business English major in secondary vocational schools by investigating and studying the application of action-oriented teaching method in the teaching of business English major in secondary vocational schools.Based on the research results of action-oriented teaching method both at home and abroad,taking S secondary vocational school in S city as an example,this study takes the basic situation of teaching(learning),the understanding of action-oriented teaching method,the application of action-oriented teaching method,and the factors influencing the smooth implementation of action-oriented teaching method as the investigation objects.The investigation methods include literature,questionnaire,interview and classroom observation,and then make statistical analysis on the acquired data.This study found that the application of action-oriented teaching method to business English major in S school has achieved good feedback effect on the whole.However,in the process of teaching and using,there are many difficulties that are not suitable for students’ current level.Students adapt to difficulties and lack confidence in learning.The opportunities and time for students to study independently are insufficient.The traditional teaching method and the action-oriented teaching method cannot be balanced.This study puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the application of action-oriented teaching method in the teaching of business English major courses in secondary vocational schools from four aspects,namely,improving the design of teaching activities to help students adapt and change;Enrich the types of teaching materials resources;Realize the integration of traditional teaching methods and action-oriented teaching methods;The school provides full support in all aspects. |
