| Robert Gober was born in 1954 and is a famous American artist.In the early1980 s,Gober created a series of works about the body,which described the existence of the body in terms of the “absent body”.In 1989,Gober’s works changed.He made a batch of body sculptures with partial treatment,which were presented in the form of "body fragments".This paper mainly studies the series of "body fragments" created by Gober from 1989 to now,trying to analyze his handling method and its enlightenment.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part is to summarize and comb Robert Gober’s art exploration process,and explore his early works and the changes of his works with examples.In the second part,it mainly analyzes the treatment of "body fragments" series in Gober’s works since 1989,and studies the use of new materials in the works,dramatic plots,the presentation of misplaced and dioramas,as well as the given meaning of these four categories.The third part explores Gober’s handling of material selection and presentation from a wide and in-depth perspective,combining with the pictures of his works,and discusses the inspiration that this handling mode brings to later artists’ creative thinking,creative means and viewing way of his works. |
